Always wondered, what is Alter Ego? Just a Toyota group or a shop?

It's more or less a brand.

Originally I had a clothing company 10 or so years ago that was "Alternate Ego Clothing" as I became more involved with exploring and building the tacoma it morphed into Alter Ego Adventure.

The main goal is to document trips, give unbiased gear reviews, and produce some fun video content. We are just about finished building a website to put all this information on. We'll have some soft goods for sale for those who feel like buying some shirts and hats, but we don't see the company as a money maker, more so just a place to share our passion for vehicle based travel with other like minded individuals.

We're definitely not a shop although there has been countless installs in the driveway with buddies Tacoma's!

    Hope that helps @duvinclunk

Nice! Sounds like an cool gig, excited to see the site and articles. The Alter Ego Tacoma's I've seen on the board are always pretty rad.

That it is. Its a 66L fridge freezer combo 30L on one side and 34L on the other - its a beast but with a growing family its going to work out great! We plan on using the freezer side at a lower temp and holding our drinks, while keeping the food in the larger side. Currently working on a fridge slide and some other organization items for the bed to make the most out of storage.

I heard through the grapevine that your front bumper may or may not be for a 12+? Is that true? Interested in fitment.

yessir, it'll fit the 05-15. Originally they came out with them for 12+ but modified the design to fit all years. Only difference is the 05-11 grill sits below the lip of the bumper. I can can a shot later today to show you what I mean.

sub'd, nice truck man. I am also in SR. Got my truck last fall (still stock) and planning on some trips with my wife in Mendocino, Eldorado, Sierra NF's camping/wheeling. Keep me in the loop if there are any meets or trail rides coming up, would be cool to connect.
