Thank you for the interest. Truck caps are certainly on the radar based on all of the feedback we have received here. We want to cover the 1st and 2nd gen's then we will look what can be done to fit caps. When we do we will be sure to post it up here.

Do you have an option for; or are thinking about custom painted like at least the taco colors?

 

How did you wire yours up? What did you tap into? I think I'll tackle it this weekend

 

For now we are just offering the three finish options. Black anodized, clear anodized, and raw matte aluminum. I have the black version on my truck right now and it blends in and looks like it belongs. If you want to custom paint it yourself we would be happy to ship it not assembled. Both the clear anodized and raw matte aluminum will take paint no problem.

 

Check out our other thread, it goes over how I got the wires from the brake light up to the dash. For the switch I ran a new 12 volt wire from the battery through the big wire grommet on the driver side and up to the switch in the dash. Make sure to put a fuse on the 12v wire. I grounded the light on a factory ground behind the driver side kick panel. I will get some additional pictures of my switch setup for you too.

Got it on and ran wires up to the kick panel before the wife cut me short. Love the look and quality.

Would love to have these for a 3rd gen.

 

We would definitely like to be able to provide these for the 3rd Gen. From the looks of it, it might fight some of the 3rd gen models (the ones that have the same brake light style as the 2nd gen). We would like to test fit it on a 3rd gen before we start selling them for that purpose. If you have one of these trucks and live in the CT area and are interested in helping us test fit a light please let us know.
