Now isn't this an interesting thread.

Following along... I have 11K on my truck and I'm getting on average 20.9 MPG... and not real happy about it on an I4.

At 32 years of age.... well yeah I do tend to drive like a pissed off teen-ager in most people's estimation.

Every day's commute is a race it seems.

I thought you were getting much better mileage than that in the beginning?

I was... I was getting 26 on the first 2 tanks... since then it has been almost perfectly 20.9 every tank. No matter how I drive. The only thing that seems to make a difference is towing.

I drove to Colorado and back last weekend. I admittedly drive hard, but I was cruising for 98% of these tanks. Still... 20.9...

I would take that by the dealership and ask them what is going on. There are so many things that can cause an engine to get poor mileage. I would tell them that it was getting much better mileage, but it has turned sour. That is usually a sign of another larger problem.

I did, I was told that it was in speck... That the EPA ratings are not to be used... that the 2008 is now rated at 20 - 25 with no changes to the vehicle... blah blah blah.

Wishing I could have afforded the V6...

Just read through this thread from the beginning, and am starting to wonder if I'm a pissed off teenager (btw that's redundant, there isn't any other kind). Granted it's still early days for me, but I'm only getting 16 for the first two tanks. I read through two other threads about mileage and on one posters were saying their mileage increased over time, and on the other they were saying no increase. Huh? I'm eagerly waiting for the 4 liter test. I've dropped my shift points, for the second time, and am hoping for better MPG, but 20MPG sounds very good to me right now.

I like your new title 007. I assume its a pre-emptive attempt to align yourself with Texas and the Alliance.... ;)

    I know how you feel.

I liked it better than "TW Moderator" or "Super Moderator".

I think that I did something very wrong on my current tank of fuel. I must not have filled up all the way or something. According to my guesstimations, I am getting like 19 MPG!

I don't understand. I have never gotten that bad of fuel economy without towing something. :( I hope that this next tank is a different story.

That's good. I was going to drop you an email to see if you got it yet or not. I haven't heard back from Ben, but he sounded busy - so, I am not going to bother him.

I am going to top off tonight or tomorrow and tow a trailer to Houston in the morning. Time to get some more numbers. :)

I saw something on Ebay that claims to save on gas. They are some sort of magnets that go arount the gas lines in the engine compartment. I will post a link as soon as I find it again.
