Wondering if there's any better options for rear seating in the access cab? Anything you've seen, anything you've modified, etc....
No I do not want to remove them or delete them or anything like that. I want something with a little bit better cushion and possibly a headrest.
The rear seats are just uncomfortable as hell. for a short jaunt across town at best and I'm talking very short, they work.

Someone said possibly 3rd gen access cab seats may be able to be modified to fit... just wondering if anybody may have tried something like that or found something else that would work.
Heck, if somebody has some that they've removed from a newer Access Cab and wants to sell them , I would love to buy them.

    ROFLMAO......

Yeah....I know, my '06 Access Cab has the same "seats". No one sits back there. The truck is at most a 2 person and 1 dog ride. I just finished building a platform for my dog to ride a bit easier in the rear seating area with 2 people. If just me and the dog, the dog ride shotgun.

I'm still trying to figure out what the 2 square holders are used for.......

They perfect for musubi. Some FN and Sig mags fit perfectly as well. Also happy meal toys.

OP: Why have you been sitting in the back seat of you truck?

It's a great platform with a shortie thermarest on it, but if the girl's more than about 5'1 and 102 lbs it gets crowded. Flop the seat backs forward and slide the seats forward for more room. Clothes get separated into the little foot wells and nothing gets lost.

You may be able to swap out for the newer 2nd gen access cab seats. My 2014 trd sport access cab has a "little" bit better rear seats with fold down headrests. Still by no means comfortable for long trips, but

Just get a couple of boat cushions. There about 2” thick and are pretty comfortable. Easy to remove if you need to carry something else.

Well my daughter is 12 and she does have to ride back there. She's not the average twelve-year-old oh, she's barely 60 in tall and about 60 lb LOL

And again I just want to make it a little bit more comfortable for her back there. Taking the seats out is not an option buying another truck is not an option.

I have a 2010 AC, the seats look a little nicer than yours and it does have fold down head rests. I have had my daughter and daughter in law ( both about 5'4" and 110lbs) back there for short rides to the creek with the dogs. About 1/2 an hour would probably be tops back there.

Throw her ass in a car seat. The 5 point harness is safe and the cool factor and 24k shades will help her overcome the discomfort of a function based chair. Add rudder pedals and the cramp factor diminishes as well. Make her mom the crew chief and paint both of their names on the side, aft of the driver windows.

The worst that could happen would be a beach volleyball addiction and propensity to "promote international relations".
