Listening to the radio out of Susanville, CA just now. Mentioned the Forest I live on, the Plumas, has placed the Forest in I believe Stage 1, no off trail driving/riding, only travel on listed trails/roads. I was thinking of going to Gold Lake area which is close to Graeagle, CA, north of Truckee, CA. My neighbor has still been cutting firewood and we have what is called Hoot Owl already, which means no chainsaw use after 1PM. That usually means things are getting pretty dry, not critial yet when chainsaw use is not allowed. Please be careful if camping over the 4th of July weekend, be aware of campfire regs too. Not all campgrounds are equal.
