Not to sound like a dick but honestly the stock Toyota radio isn't nice enough to justify spending $$ to 'protect' the screen lol...

My screen resolution reminds me of the first colored screen cell phone I had.

I don't really see the need for these, seems to make the contrast worse, I set my stations when I got it and hardly ever need to touch the screen again, if it does get a fine scratch ok and its just a radio, kinda like not having sex with your girlfriend so she will be in better "shape" for her next boyfriend

I use to know a guy that would not go cut wood till he was throwing the last stick in the woodstove. I asked him why he done this and he said if he died he didn't want the SOB laying up with his wife to be warm also. "Let him cut his own wood he said!

Be sure to get a real glass one. I installed mine in 2017, still looks new and has no scratches, even though I don’t keep a clean dash (off-roading a lot for work and fun so there’s a lot of gritty dirt on the dash, on my hands, etc.

Idk man.. I even look at this thing wrong and it wants to scratch. My kit came with protection for the gauge cluster, gear selection display and headunit. It has nothing to do with the next owner, I just like keeping my things nice.

yeah, my cluster had very fine hairline scratches on it when i picked the truck up with 8 miles on the odometer. not really a big deal, i know there are kits like protech but i dont care enough to spend $70 on it

The cool thing is that kit hides those scratches.

This is the only reason I got one.
The cluster was scratched when I got the truck @25k and then I tried to clean it like the cluster on my first gen. Big mistake. Glancing sun made it almost illegible and looking at it drove me crazy.
Now I can see the gauges in whatever light and I can use a fast food napkin to wipe it down again:dancingbacon:
