if i was in your position, i would be on the same path. you should look into your options for sure.

if i could do it all over again, i would have kept my truck as is and bought a jeep...

Yes we purchased his truck. I've known Wyatt for a long time and I believe he is going to do what he can to make things right. But I can't speak for him or his business practices. I hope everyone gets their products and or services they've paid for from RST.

I feel horrible for everyone here who has been fucked by this guy. I was keeping quiet on this thread while my credit card dispute worked through its process and was just notified yesterday that the dispute was ruled in my favor with a full credit of the $5,300 bucks I "loaned" this asshead for 5 months.

I feel blessed and lucky to have come out of this unscathed and am thankful I found this thread before it was too late. That said, there is more than enough evidence in the 134 posts above to prove that this guy has absolutely no moral compass or bearings and certainly does not know how to run a business.

I only hope he stays in business long enough so that others who have filed CC disputes are able to get refunds. If you have not filed a dispute yet, I would not waste anymore time trusting that this dude wants to "make things right"...because that is a load of shit. Making things right starts with communication and honesty...and he certainly has neither of those going for him.

Do you mind sharing what credit card company you used? I have a Costco Citi card and I want some examples of people winning their disputes to show them in case they decline me. Thanks for the update.

No prob. I used my Chase business card. Charges from RST happened on 9/29/20, dispute filed 1/21/21, and final decision / credit happened 3/08/21 if that helps.

Like some whom have chimed in, I'm a multi-year investor. 30K plus invested and have gone trough the same process that many on this thread have experienced. Was I lied too? Yes. Do I believe Wyatt is working towards doing the right thing? Yes! I understand the lack of communication, non-return of phone calls, and overall radio silence is a tough pill to swallow. However, none of us are walking in Wyatt shoes. The hole Wyatt has dug is deep but it will take time to climb out.

Wyatt could have easily filed bankruptcy which is the cowardly way out. Instead, he has dug in and committed himself to not walk away but rather work daily to make things right. Should he come out with a statement.... maybe. But do more words help at this point? Human nature has many different sides and I'm sure Wyatt's pride is hurt and he is embarrassed.

I respect all actions guys may take who have been lied too or mislead. As for me, I commend Wyatt and his efforts to make things right. I hope to report in the near months ahead my rig is complete and fulfilled ever expectation I have. Good luck to you all and best wishes to Wyatt as he continues to work towards making things right.

I have no skin in this game but here's my $0.02 anyway.

    1. Communication is key. Based on yours and everyone else's experience this has been horrible. If he's trying to dig himself out of a hole then he needs to keep everyone updated. I know that takes time to do but that's the bare minimum. No response is worse than one that says I need more time. No one likes excuses but they can live with it if they feel progress is being made.

    2. Meeting deadlines. If you promise a deadline make it or at least communicate (see #1).

    3. Refund where he can to reduce the hole he's in. It sounds like he's stealing from Peter to pay Paul. That's never a good business practice especially if he's already in a hole.

At this point his name and business name is mud. There's no coming back from this amount of bad publicity and lack of business ethics. I feel for small business owners but this is beyond what customers should put up with.

    Agree completely with this.
1.) I would have given more time if that was communicated to me. Not ideal but I give small businesses a lot of leeway, especially with custom stuff like this.
2.) Numerous deadlines were missed. Arrangements were made for pickup/delivery on several occasions, then got ghosted when the time came.
3.) My asking for a refund was never responded to. Complete radio silence since then with multiple attempts to contact him. Also, no refund has been issued.
I feel like I've been robbed. Not to mention my build is now waaaaay behind schedule. Good thing I didn't start cutting.

heck with sitting in front, just grab a welder, bender, notcher, material, or something from his shop that’s worth whatever you’re in the hole for. Sometimes the best deals can be made via bartering.

My 2 cents worth is after ppl like this ill never let someone else build my project on their time or steal my money. Ill find the time resources and money to get it done if im really committed! Something satisfying about your own work. But i understand some ppl don't want to hassle with it. I love the challenge though.

haha, well I wasn’t suggesting that. Wait out front for him to be there and make him an offer he can’t refuse.

I placed a $10,000 order with Wyatt on December 16th 2020. He even offered me "FREE SHIPPING" if I ordered that week! Little did I know that he had no intention of fulfilling my order. I've been told no less than ten times that my order "will ship tomorrow." The initial stated lead time was 2-3 weeks.

The last time I talked to Wyatt was on February 24th, when he told me "shipping tomorrow." After that phone call, he blocked my number on his phone.

On March 4th I was told by a close associate and friend of Wyatt's, who I've been communicating with Wyatt through, that Wyatt shipped my complete order. This same associate has since expressed doubt that Wyatt actually shipped anything and has acknowledged that Wyatt is a habitual liar. I have received no tracking information from Wyatt, and Wyatt has continued to block my phone calls and texts and ignores the emails, calls and texts from other phones that I have tried.

Wyatt took my $10,000. He even incentivized my quick purchase with the lure of free shipping if I placed my order that week.

That is what we call theft. Intentional, calculated theft.

Well to be fair, he was true to his word about the shipping.
