E load are stiffer due to the thickness. The sidewalls are thicker, therefore not allowing them to compress like a P tire while driving over bumps on the road. I have BFG KO2 E load and they're that way too. But have em for the thicker sidewalk protection

Thanks for the info. Feel better now. Not to say I'm 100% satisfied by ride but good enough.

Sidewalk protection?? You mean like MALL Terain tires??:D Got it...

The E rated tires are around 20% heavier ... which is a lot of extra un-sprung weight, just sayin.

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
Is that a sport?.... If so, trade it in immediately for an OR and then you can enjoy your KO2's on the cushy OR Bilsteins instead of the harsh Sport suspension.

Yes, i am prepared for the hellstorm of shit that is headed my way for my joke about the stiff Sport suspension!

Seriously though, KO2's are great tires. Wear well and function great on and off road. They don't ride like a street tire, because they aren't a street tire. My $.02

I wrote in the KO2 & TRD thread on what PSI y'all are running. I've heard from 32 to 40 which is a pretty big difference. I think PSI makes a difference in the ride as well. Riding at 32 and now 37(40 when heated up) they feel way better now!

What's everyone running for PSI sand their tire size and load?

    Like I said, I'm 265/70/17 C Load at 37 PSI cold

    I noticed the same thing.
I used to run 35 PSI; now I'm at 39 PSI.

Hey guys...though I might share this with you all. Just switched my BFG KO2's 265/65/17 E-load for BFG KO2's 265/70/17 C-load and they make a difference when it comes to comfortable drive on the road. I'm glad I made the change. Below is a old and new pics with the difference tire sizes as well so you can see the difference in appearance also.

Actually, the shine from the first pic is actually right after they installed the tires. I guess they wiped them. Lol. Second pic, I just got it washed.

How are your tires wearing now? I just put on 265/70/R17 BFG KO2s C Rated on my 2017 DCSB and was battling over what PSI to use. When I emailed BFG all my details, they said I should be running 45 PSI on front and back. I've seen other TW users post similar responses from BFG. Anything over 40 still seems high to me but wouldn't the tire manufacturer know best? IDK.

might be worth getting them road force balanced. my first set was terrible and when I got them road force balanced it turned out 2 of them were well out of spec. returned those and second set is smooth as stock.

A very small amount of additional road noise but just because the tread design is more agressive vs the stock tire setup. Very pleased with ride quality overall.

I have had the E rated KO for 30000 miles and I run about 30psi all around and they ride pretty good. They show very even wear.

I dropped the truck off this morning to have a brand new set of 265/70R17 BFG KO AT2 tires installed on my FJ Cruiser steel wheels; I'll let you know my opinion after I pick it up.

    I can't wait.
