I agree with this post. My MPG loss is minimal, ride quality didn't suffer at all in my opinion and I didn't notice anything different about braking performance either. 10k miles in I'd buy the KO2's again.

ive got 235/85/16 ko2s on my 4cyl. i noticed a bit of a power hit with the E load range, but i love the look and the way they perform in the snow and on all of nyc's crazy jacked up and gnarly roads.

I like the positive snow review. that's a huge one for me. I am debating on these

Just get them... I chose them based on all the reviews for ON/OFF-Road usage, I think its safe to say there is a good reason why majority of people on this site run KO2's. Look forward to blasting through blizzards with my new setup!

    AFTER:

I too was afraid of the MPG loss, noise, etc. I have not found any issues with these tires thus far. Good luck with your decision!

My bad, just checked and they do. I'll correct my post. The 265/65r/16 E-rated do have the M+S rating with the mountain and snowflake (severe weather).

I believe the M+S is bullshit compared to the severe weather rating.

The 265/75R16 E rated do. I can snap a pic for you. I have those and will be dumping them next week for the C rated with 17" wheel.

Wow, over 1000 bucks?! Keep looking, got mine about a month ago for $890, Discount Tire. And I thought that was high :) At any rate, love the look, truck looks like a truck and no complaints with the ride, braking, etc. I love the comments on the MPG...MPG has always sucked with my 6 cyl. Maybe my heavy right foot.

Too stiff a ride? I do think its weird that there is such varying opinions on rough ride and stuff.

May be a difference in tire pressure. I read people running 40+ psi. I run mine at about 34-35 psi.

Maybe the 17's run harder than theh 16's???

They just seem to me to be too much tire for the truck. I don't mind the stiff ride at all in fact, in some ways I prefer it. It's the weight for me. I'm not running a lifted truck but like the look of the 32". I noticed immediately you could feel the difference the 15 lb/tire when swapping from the stockers ot the E-rated. And at the same time, my mileage suffered big time. At 70 mph cruise, my mileage went from 22 stock to 20 with the supercharger and stock tires to 17 with the tires (300 miles constant speed on relatively flat through WA/OR).

I'm going with the setup that I originally wanted that I was too impatient to wait for. I go on FS roads and do that, not doing crawling or anything where I would need more tire. Swap 'em out and do it how I really wanted from day one.

Picked up my 265/75/16 KO2's for $790 mount and balance from DiscountTire. Took a good MPG hit but my only complaint is I did not go 285! They look great. I knew MPG was going to drop but oh well its a truck.

How much of a MPG hit was taken? rarely see anyone quantify it

Just bought a set of 4 265/70/17 C from Costco. Mounted, balanced, road hazard and free lifetime rotation for $890 with tax. Very happy with the look and ride quality.

This is on my 3rd Gen:

Stock I was seeing 21-22mpg mixed.

Now 15-16mpg. I also installed a small lift and removed the air damn under the front bumper.
