Had 'em once on a Dodge 3/4-ton....won't buy 'em again. I was a big Goodrich fan (M/T's) The A/T's are just not that great in slick clay mud like we have in our area. Decent in snow, but not what a number of other tires can do...Good wear, no plus or minus as far as fuel mileage compared to other tires same size. Commonly available, easy to get, and competitively priced. "The majority" don't run 'em.....They MAY be the most common A/T tire, but by no means more than half of the people on this site.

Guessing if they were once on a dodge they were the KO's not the KO2's correct?

Just so we're clear here there is a pretty big price difference depending on what size you go with. If you go with the pizza cutter setup sure you're gonna pay significantly less than if you buy wider tires.

The calculation will be off on the truck. I'm showing around 17-18 on my truck with 265x70x17 with no lift and the air dam in place.

My MPG did not change much at all when I went to them. I went with the 245/75/R16 instead of the 265/70/R16 and saved a few hundred dollars and they are load E. I personally sat the two sizes together and decided I liked the 245 better. With mount balance lifetime alignment road warranty etc I think I was around 12 or 1300. I used the lifetime alignment today with no issues.

My previous tires were these. http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tires/products/ltx-m-s-2.html

They got me everywhere I wanted to go and did well in snow, ice, and I even kept up with my 4 wheel drive club. I obviously picked the easy line but they did a great job. just my .02 :)

Yes E load, 59lbs a piece which is easy double the weight of my stock 245 mini van tires that came on my 2wd 2016.

I agree, crazy drop in mpg based on the display screen. We have to take into consideration the stock size tires cause the speedometer to be ~4-5 mph slower than what it shows. The 265s now have the speedometer dead accurate. The 22mpgs I was getting before, I don't think we're as accurate. Now the 16mpgs I'm getting might be a little low. Either way 265/75 E loads id say make a good 2 mpg actual hit.

I think it depends on the vehicle. I personally only track my MPG by hand but I have not noticed a decrease. I actually am getting a little better mileage but that could be do to this time of year my area as less of a head wind on my way to work. I also have the 4 banger MT so that helps with MPG too.

    Not enough...
What size did you have before and what size do you have now?

I am willing to be that your bigger tires are throwing off your speedometer/odometer. I went 265/70r16 to 285/75r16. Then I measured distance that I drove with a GPS vs Odometer. GPS showed 23.3 miles. Meanwhile odometer showed 21.5, so a 1.8 mile difference. Your calculations are wrong.

O2's....Bought 'em right after they were released. Truck got hit and totaled about 15 months ago (with relatively new tires)

I put a new set of BFG KO load C on my '13 and I have no regret for spending $1200.00 on it. It fills up the wheel wells which makes it look the way it should have been coming from the factory. LOL! Stocker tires are collecting dusts now.

Wow, that's a crazy hit. I don't think most who are running 30-31" at tires will see anything like that. Still feel something is up even going from light 245s. Wrong tire for you I guess.
I am guessing the speedometer/mileage was calculated for the stock 245s, so you were actually getting about 7% better distance/mpg so that about 1.4 mpg right there. Still the remaining balance of 3 mpg is boggling.

I ran a set of 265/75/16 MTRs load E on my 2009 Prerunner for a month and still got 20+ on hwy. Negligible hit to MPGs. MTRs are a heavy tire.

At the end of the day I know what the computer on my 3rd gen said stock and I know what it says now. Not sure if my calculations are wrong since between the two of us, I am the only one with real world experience with the 3rd gen. I would say I was wrong in quoting MPG loss with my turd gen in a 2nd gen forum.

@benzy its because its a 2016. Over in that forum you see a lot of weird things. MPG sucks all around over there. This is what I get for venturing out... haha

Back on topic... I paid $$790 mount and balance at DiscountTire for 265/75/16's. I had them price match Costco.

I've got a set of 265/60/18 E rated KO2s on my truck and I, like you don't take my truck off road. Never have. Never will. I'm not mechanically inclined enough to, and I'm OK with that. I would say that yes, the mileage decreased a little bit from the MS2s that they replaced. And no. They don't have QUITE as good of street manners that the Michelin's had. I got about 68k out of the Michelin's as I them on my old frontier and then took the wheels off and sold them, but kept the tires. Honestly these tireslook so damn good that I completely don't give a shit. I'm at about 12k miles so far and would absolutely go with these tires again. Whenever they wear out (which truthfully I can't see happening anytime soon. I'll ditch my wheels and drop down to 17s, but at this point I can't see myself not going KO2. True, they are a little heavy but that's my own dumb ass fault for getting the 18s back when I got the truck in 11/14. If I were you, I'd wait until the next holiday. Discount tire usually has the 100 off of 4 tire special over the holidays. I paid 1100 out the door with lifetime road hazard as well as rotating and balancing. I stop in after every oil change and have them rotate them. Last week they filled them to 40 PSI which led to a Flintstones mobile quality ride. I pulled over and aired down to 32 and all is lovely again.
Good luck with whatever you decide. Another thing that I forgot to mention is that with your discount tire card they offer 0% interest is paid off with 6 months. I hate credit and putting shit like this on credit. If you aren't able to pay the tires off before the 0%grace period, I wouldn't ever ever ever open the card.
I love my tires and have no regrets about getting them.
