Just upgraded my tires to BFG All Terrains size 265/75/16. My Tacoma is all stock and they fit with no rubbing! Looks way better than stock 245's. I drive a 2010 regular cab 4 cylinder Tacoma.

First impressions I noticed that i have a little more wobble in the steering wheel compared to stock. This only happens on specific roads and under specific conditions. I can see the steering wheel shake slightly if I let go of it.

Other down fall is the loss of power. There is a steep mountain pass near my house I use to be able to go up that on fourth gear at around 70mpg no problem. Noticeable difference now when I have to down shift to third...

On the plus side tires look better, truck sits higher, and I have better traction.

Other cool factor, I picked up the four tires for 320$. White walls are still blue and I still got the little rubber tabs. They only got about 300 miles on them. I'm happy with the deal.

Killer steal on the tires. But your loss of power is due to getting E-load 265/75/R16 vs C-load 265/70R17. Same size tire, significant weight difference.

Can't really say if it's truly a wobble. It just feels a lot different than my previous tires. Like I feel more of the road. It's pretty smooth under certain conditions but then in others I feel like the steering is lighter. I dunno, it's a little strange.

I'm thinking of asking another shop to double check the balancing.

I got the impression he went from stock 245s. That would explain the loss of power and having to run different gear uphill. Higher weight might affect acceleration somewhat.

Both would be a factor in loss of power. The E-loads are much heavier though than the C loads, which are also going to be heavier than the 245s.

I also have 265/75R16 BFG KO2's and they are definitely noticeable. Loss of power, stiffer ride, but look great. Hopefully when it's time for my next set they will have load range C available.

Yeah that was why I didn't get them this go around. Hopefully they will start making the c load range in these sizes .

Now that I have them, I definitely love the looks but I don't think it's worth it for just looks. Wish I would have found some C's in a comparable size.

I had to get them rebalanced. I am happy with the feel now.

Yeah, these tires are super heavy. But it's more then just looks! Dont forget about the off-road performance!

My truck definitely works a little harder, but I think the little 4 cylinder can handle it for the next couple years. Should be a good run.

image.jpg image.jpg I have the BFG KO2 in a 235/85/16 and while the ride is stiffer in a load E I don't regret them. I have an LJ Jeep with load C's and it doesn't ride any mo'betta

I don't know why you guys are not picking up 4 runner take offs. They are much better looking than any Tacoma wheel and you can then run load C KO2's. You could sell your Tacoma take offs for the same price as picking up some 4runner 17's.

245/75R16 load E. When I bought these I compared the 245 next to the 265 and visually I could see no ride height difference technically it isn't much to begin with so I saved a couple hundred on 5 of them by going with the skinnier tire.

Love them in dirt, mud, rain I feel like a nursery rhyme! I'll see how winter goes but I may have found my lifetime tire. I did want to try treadwrights though

The 265/75 are about 1.2" taller. I have been running the ko and now the ko2 for the last 3 sets and love them tho I also really wish they would make them in c's in the sizes I want..

Well then I'm crazy cause there wasn't 1.5 inches of difference at the shop when I placed them side by side.
