future plan of 2" drop and any type of rim thats not a steelie. grille and BHLM mods, maybe....

no traction on wet roads, forget about snow. Mud i never had them long enough to test in mud. I can say that read the replies on tirerack.com about BFG ATs. not many people, like myself, like them. i changed from BFG ATs to Firestone Destination ATs and it was night and day. the Firestones wear like iron, grip better on dry roads and are absolutely the best rain tire ive ever had. Had them on a lifted Isuzu 4x4 and turns i could trust the tires to grab. The BFGs spun if you spit NEAR them....in the snow they clogged on the first rotation and became slicks. sorry they just suck and over priced for the traction

Here's mine... BFG's 265/70/17 black walls out. Had the same decision to make, ended up with the BFG's and could not be happier with the tires!

I am running 31"x10.5 BFG on my 5 lug, the BFG have served me well on all terrain. I lack the capabilities of a 4x4, but these tires have gotten me to where I need to go, whether it was dry, rain, or snow. IMO, BFG is a great company. I might be getting the KM2s for my next set of tires.

Here are pics of my BFG A/T TA KOs.

I have read more on this topic than I would like to admit and I still have not had anyone answer this question...

Will LT275/70R17 BFGs fit with stock UCAs? If so can you run this size with the mudflaps? It is barely taller than the 265... maybe a half inch and also a half inch wider... I here 285s rub but how bad? Could this be a good option? BFG is about the only brand I can find that makes them.

BTW... I have 5100s set at 1.75 and teh rear TSB.

I've run BFG ATs for years -first on the 86 4Runner and now on the new truck. Maybe there are better tires out there, but I wouldn't know because the BFGs have been so good me I've never seen a reason to switch. They've been great all around tires... and there's the key: all around.

I dont like my BFG AT's that much. They are a decent tire, but where I live, which is a lot of red clay shit, when you get in the mud they just cake up pretty bad. Other than that they are a good tire. I am by no means bashing BFG's, just saying personal experience.

My bother has had his BFG's on his 95' 4runner, and he has had them for 70k miles, its ridiculous, his tires have lasted a long time, and not once has he ever complained about them!

i'm in the same boat man.. even though i've got a ways before i need tires (can't wait either, i hate the stock tires) i think i'm going to go with the 265/70/17 white wall out BFG AT's. i think they'll look amazing, esp with a white taco.. it'll make the white pop out on the tires.

Had the 265/70/17 on mine for abouts 25,000 miles now and they have at least another 25,000 to go. That's great considering my stock Bridgestone's only lasted 25K until they were at the wear indicators.
