After shopping and scratching my head it came down to: Wildpeak, K02, Duratrac

BFG K02 is what I choose because of quality and reputation. Spent the afternoon driving and all I can say is WOW. They are actually quiet and handle nicely on pavement. Gone is that ridiculous sidewall butt sway and front wiggle. GREAT tires!!

Discount Tire has been my go to tire place for years now. I had my contact with the others in years past, but it's hard to beat hustle, integrity and low low prices all in one.

@Discount Tire I'm looking to pick up a set of KO2s in 285/70/17, Load C, to replace the General ATXs I bought from you guys last year (not happy with the ride quality and road noise). Any upcoming rebates or promotions on them?

So far the tires are performing excellently as expected.

Noise. Not overly loud. You can hear them down hill braking on pavement with windows down but not really noticeable. Highway speeds sure they are louder than sports car summer tires. Normal!

The loose wet ground, rocks, shallow mud etc great traction. I thought I might have issues on wet pavement but just fine.

    No evidence of early chunking.

All holding steady at 45 psi

Got some wet and some road frost. No slip and slide! After following the Snow Tires thread - I may be doomed in the first snow fall. AHAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously I am quite curious as I am accustomed to snow tires. Stay tuned.

Watch it not snow in the valley this winter.

Just keep them KO2s rotated and inflated properly or they'll get noisier!
I also bought my KO2s at Discount Tire (1st time customer) and I made the mistake of buying E load (waaaaay too heavy) and Discount Tire switched them out for C load no questions asked. Awesome business and great people too! Shout out to Joel et. al. at the Withamsville Ohio location!

Thank you for your initial report on the tires. Wow, you already have some frost, we just started having temps in the low 90S to upper 80's In Phoenix AZ. Hope you get some good snow to test them out.

Thank you for posting up your experience with your local Discount tire store. Glad to hear the C rated K02 tires are working out better for you. We appreciate your support.
