That was something I wondered and I mentioned in my post that my set of Falkens were made in the U.S. Sumitomo/Falken have a plant in New York and at least the LT265/75R16 A/T3W is made there it seems.

I have a 2020 TRD Pro. I put XD133 Fusion off-road wheels (17x9 -12 offset) on it with Falken Wildpeak 265/70/17's on them. I'm happy. Had to do a little trimming in the front, but no rubbing at all. The tires are great so far. A little noisier than the stock, but worth it.

Interesting, the 2 sets of 1st gen Wildpeaks (315/70R17 and 37x12.50R17) I had on my JK Wrangler were made in Thailand.

They just opened the plant I think in the past year or two, so this would be a new thing. Not sure if I really have an opinion either way on Thai-made tires but in this case I had the luxury of it not being an issue. I'm sure popularity of the size and how many are turned over factored in, they probably may make them in both countries and they don't sit around long in warehouses for old stock from Thailand to still be around.

Falkens are half the price, half the weight, and do the same job. Do your wallet and fuel efficiency a favor.

I have always run BFG ko E. Durable sidewalls for hauling 5k trailer,off-roading, awesome on mud and rocks .tried to Cooper AT3 E to much sway from sidewall without trailer or any load, only had a couple days, stopped awesome in rain though but took right back off. BFG ko when gets down to 11/32 wet weather breaks loose easier and when it gets to 6/32s they spin constantly in wet weather. So basically a 6/32 they're done, that is a 1/3 life left ,that's wasted, that is the only problem or bad thing that I can say about the BFG. I wish the sidewall on wildpeaks would come with 25% harder sidewall like The BFG does. I would probably jump on them in a heartbeat

Do you know if the wildpeak e rated sidewall is still as stiff as ko2’s? Just picked up a set of wildpeak e rated so we’ll see

No they are not 25% stiffer than sidewalls like the ko2s are,

Just had Wildpeaks installed today on my 2020 TRD Pro - so far:
    • Slightly noisier than stocks, but expected and not a big change at all
    • Very plush and “soft” feeling over bad bumps and potholes compared to stock Goodyear Kevlars
    • Excellent road force numbers (under 15lbs) on 3 out of 4 - one measured at 38lbs - and is being replaced under warranty by Discount Tire. Still rides pretty good, but I can’t complain about getting a better one for free!
    • No noticeable steering vibrations at all (other than normal 1800-2200rpm buzz) after install - fronts are 8lbs and 12lbs road force
    • Truck looks the way it should have been delivered now
    • Wet and snow handling updates to come - soon!

265/75/16 C Load Duratracs for the Win. 45 lbs vs 51 lbs E Load.

Best "Rain rating", & 3 peak snow designation. Can't go wrong with a Goodyear!

I don't know for sure but my experience is that the 2-ply Falkens "seem" less stiff than the BFG 3-ply. I feel more squish and sway. Whether that's negative or positive depends. They do ride nicer on the highway but I think durability will be a concern. BTW, I run my Falkens at around 40 psi while I only ran the BFG at roughly 35 psi. I might even go up a couple more psi on the Falkens.

I just went with 265/75/16 wildpeaks and happy so far. Had them in a little packed snow/ice and worked well.

I'm leaning heavily towards these, probably 90%...I'll need new tires very soon. I have no real complaints on the stock GY Wrangler Kevlar tires. I'll probably get 50K out of them, or close to it. I drive a lot - but I also am in the field/mud with my truck daily (horse farm). I need a bit better traction than I currently have. Our dealership told me yesterday - they will sell me another set of the stock kevlar wranglers for cheap (I think it was 625 OTD with tax - its sets that come off new trucks when the buyer wants something diff.)...so with that price I'm thinking about it...I drive about 45-50K a year so its a set yearly if I stay with these, but not sure the duratracks will last that much longer.

Just saying, but $625 is not a deal for used tires. I paid that much for the Wildpeaks OTD.

Another vote for Falken Wildpeaks. I run them on my Tacoma and my 2006 4Runner.
