    Cool,

I haven't a clue what SAMs charges for mounting and balancing.

Guess I'll find out in a few months.

I was tickled to just see a set of BFGs in 235 to actually feel the weight and look at.

I used to have an RC bro, but I still have my Toyota tool box....

Just an idea if you ever get tired of the aluminum lid I had mine coated by the local Line-X guy. I think he only charged me like 60 bucks or something close to that. Came out awesome. In this pic it looks grey but it's black.

So quick question for anyone who has dealt with Sam's Club and getting tires installed, I asked them today about the 235s because they're $185 each and they have an instant rebate of 50 bucks so basically I'm only paying $10 for mounting and balancing and that would be golden however even though it's a tougher tire and it's a better tire it's going down buy 10 millimeters to what the truck came with in the 245s. So they're telling me they can't do it.

Now I can jack up the truck and pull all the wheels and tires off and use the wifes CRV to take them down there if they're not the ones that bolt the wheels to the vehicle they won't offer any of their extended service or benefits and lifetime replacements or whatever they do.

I just thought having such a large 10 ply tire and in all-terrain configuration might be worth having lifetime balance and rotate, I have a feeling they might go out of balance more than others down the road but I could just be me.

What would you guys do to legally and or technically find a way around this?

I know the last time I went to Discount Tire and ask about the 235s they didn't have any problem with taking my money if I so chose and putting them on my truck.

Im having a hard time finding the popular brands (Goodyear Adventure, General, even Hankook) A/T tires in a lower 4 ply for this size tire. Any brands of this tire in this size in a 4 ply?

As far as I know they are all going to be 10-ply only.

    Yup Yup,

    Live in Asheville now.

And I found out today SAMS has a 50 instant rebate on tires.
So basically your paying 10 bucks to M&B...

Problem is I have to come in with 235s on it or bring in my wheels and request them, if I go that route I lose all type of free lifetime rotate and balance and such. No mileage guarantee anyways...Not to worried about road hazards as its BFG with 10-plys. :benchpress:

    What would you guys do?

I am hoping to convince my wife I can have new tires for my birthday!

I wanna ask a quick question here in regards to BFGoodrich in the 235 size tires,

Sam's Club has them at about 183 per tire, I found a somewhat close to me distributor that is overstocked on the 235 version of the mud terrain, it literally would be the same price whether I did the 235 BFGoodrich tires in a mud terrain or an all-terrain. I'm pretty sure BFGoodrich no longer makes the mud terrain in the 235, should I just say what the heck and get the mud terrain?

These would look fricken SICK, and perform like no other, lol...!

As long as the DOT dates aren't around 5 years old I'de try 500 for sure.

How are these on wet roads?

I've had no trouble out of my last three sets of 255/85/16 km2's and 285/75/16 ST Maxx' on my last 01.

However, I just bought a '12 RC and it has a set of 265/75/16 Toyo at2's and they are absolutely the worst tire I've ever had on a wet road...

    Therefore, I'm debating between the 265/75/16 and 235/85/16 ko2's.

    Thanks for the feedback!
