What’s up guys. Been thinking about sizing up from my Firestone Destination 265/70R16’s to some BF Goodrich 265/75R16’s on my 2011 Tacoma double cab 4WD, but I’m concerned about rubbing as I’ve never sized up to this size in my Tacoma before. Any recommendations or has anyone else put this size tire on their double cab 4x4 tacoma?

Also curious as to if your fuel economy was worse, or if there was really no change?

    Thanks!

I say do it! Shouldn't have any issues rubbing, if you do it will only be on your mudflap up front. Don't get LT rated tires, the weight is what really kills your mpgs.

You will be just fine with 265/75/R16's. That's only Ø1" larger than your current tire. Yes, you might lose some mpg's, but I doubt you would really notice. Also take into account your speedo & odo will be slightly off (unless you get them recalibrated, no real need to though).

When I had 245/75/16 my speedo was 3mph off and In my case when I sized up to 265/70/17 from 245/75/16 my speedometer actually went back to accurate.

KO2s in that size only come in E load rating, he's gonna def lose a mpg or 3

This is correct. A good way to avoid this is to install Goodyear Duratracs in Load C 265 75R16

Many years ago, I was able to get a P rated BFG in that size. I noticed no difference in milage. My current set are LT and I lost 1-2 mpg. Currently on my 3rd set of BFG ATs on my Taco.
