KM2 sidewalls are supposedly quite a bit stronger than the KMs.

I don't know that I'd call the KM2 sidewall "weak" - it's not necessarily as strong as the Kevlars, but that's like saying a Merkava tank is weak because it's not an M1A1.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
WIN. i still have a set with about 1/2 tread left. don't know what i'll get once they're worn out. Been running these on different trucks since back in '95...S-10, T-100 and now Tacoma with milage over 45k/set. they have never failed to impress me when i need them.
Dammit BFGoodrich...bring back the KM!!! i have only one small complaint about the KM series-slick on snow covered asphalt.

there was a member on TTORA who has had mutiple sidewall punctures with the new KM2, and stated he never had an issue when he was running KMs in the same terrain. KM2 is just a krawler with slightly harder compound and some tread separation.

also, Merkava has highest crew survivability rate of all modern tanks. ;):p

Ive had one side wall puncture on the km2, i was pretty surprised when it happened.

x2 Idk if I would say its weak but its not the strongest. I like that they are flexible when you air down like on sand these babys float super well. Compared to toyo mts they are a weaker sidewall

Well I have the Nitto Trail Grapplers and I love them. I have over 10k on them and they still look new. I had some Firestone Destinations A/T on it before and they looked like crap after 10K. I only got 22K out of them. I will probably get 30K to 35K out of these easy if I keep them that long. I'm looking at getting the same tire again just in a 35. The only thing that I don't like about them is that they are so freaking heavy. I guess since they are 10ply they are that way. But other than that they are a great tire.

One person on the internet is the source of this "weak sidewall" rumor? Really guys?

I'd want something meaningful. One guy having a problem means nothing whatsoever.

I've got a fresh set of KM2s on the truck right now. Looking forward to testing them. Most everyone I've talked to that has them absolutely loves them, and one of the things you hear about the *most* is durability.

What I find interesting about tires on this site is all the love for Duratracs when most of the high mileage reports I've heard are saying 25,000 to 30,000 miles out of them, tops. I was going to go with them until I heard that. Hell no, not for the price they want.
