They are a nice looking tyre, I will give them that.

@Road Bull I thought I was going to regret my purchase based on the fact that I liked my KM2'S and still had a decent about of tread left (I like to stretch my tires out so could have probably put 20k more miles on them). But man...these tires are smooth. They are noticably quieter than the KM2'S. To be fare, I am not sure how much I can attribute it to the shop getting them dialed in perfectly (balanced). I didn't go to my normal shop. I had dreaded "steering wheel shake" pretty bad with the Baja STZ's before the KM2'S. The KM2'S mellowed it out some but was still noticable. These KM3'S mellow it out even further to where it's almost not noticable. Both the KM2'S and the KM3'S were mounted to the same rim.

I have not taken them off-road yet so can't speak to that.

@Snatch Me what does your wife have now? There is going to a howl just because of the nature of the tire. It's not bad IMO. But then again I have a magnaflo muffler dumping before my rear axle. So it's relatively loud in my cab to begin with.

@Snatch Me and @Road Bull BFG is having a $100 mail in rebate on the KM3'S that I think ends tomorrow. Just a heads up if you were on the fence.

She is on stockers now. Yea I am sure these will hum quite a bit more than street tires or an AT of course, but I can’t imagine they would hum as much as Nitto trails or toyo mt or w/e (which those aren’t even ‘bad’ imo). These look closer to the toyo RT which I am running on my taco and I feel like those are freaking quiet, because I been running nothing but mud tires for the last 3 years or so...

Your comparing an MT to an AT....of course the Ko2 will last longer, I’m assuming your comparing by highway and city miles. 45k on a MT isn’t bad at all especially how aggressive the the stt pros are.

In my area I wish I could try these tires but the km3 have no siping. It rains all the time here so these won’t work.

well aware of that and that is kms not miles which would be about 28,000miles (1.6 kms to mile) still not happy with the life and how they are wearing, at 2,000 CDN for all five, they should at least last to 60,000kms.

I'm more then likely going to go back o KO2's as they suit my needs for the majority of my traveling. (gravel, FSR, and the jaunts to death valley)

    Whoops that’s my mistake. :frusty:
That being said that sucks....people I know thatjhave the STT Pro are in the 30-40k range and are holding up fine.

Are you road force balancing frequently? For an MT I’d be doing them every 3-4K with a rotation. What size tire are you running?

I chuckle every time a post comes up reviewing a tire after so few miles. These are really just first impressions, and I appreciate those. I saw a set on a colorado zr2 while on vacation and they looked sharp. The owner said they get pretty loud above 70mph. Now define loud (to me)... and that would be useful information (to me) lol.
