Did you notice a big loss of power with the 285s do you like them or wish you would have went smaller? Trying to decide when I lift if I want 285/70/17 or 275/70/17 tires.

Didn't notice a big loss of power and glad I went with the 285's.I dont think you will be disappointed with the larger tire.

I have a couple question for ya. I am planning on getting these BFGs as well, and have been trying to decide whether to go with P rated or LT. Are you glad you went with P rated? Any drawbacks you can think of so far? I plan on getting a boat next spring, but I don't see P rated as being a big deal, since most of the weight is on the trailer.
I DD my 4Runner, and only off road 2-3 times a year...and nothing hardcore at that. I have E rated LTs right now and I hate them. I am looking at the same size you have as well. Do you have any more pics of them? Thanks for any info.

I did P rated only cause i do more highway miles and wanted the more flexible side walls vs the stiff LT

Im currently looking at these for a second set of tires for highway use. How are they holding up, miles, tread life? They look really good and seem like they would do okay in mild offroad use if need be

Only have 7000 miles on these tires, so far they are wearing evenly.Pretty quiet on the highway. With 4 bags of sand from Lowes in the bed, they did well in the snow last year, they also seem to perform well in the rain.I would say mild off road at best, but if you are looking for pretty good all season tire this is it. IMO

I know it's a super old thread! But did you run a lift with this setup, I don't remember you mentioning if you did or not.
