I was being sarcastic since I wouldn't go back to the Fails at this point. As much as I whined about the Rugged Terrains, they actually did ok this weekend in the icy slush and hard packed snow thanks to most of north Texas being turned into an ice cube. I'll have to deal with this stuff the rest of the week, so hopefully they'll still perform ok.

Mine did great in the ice this weekend. Obviously, they would break free if I pushed it, but they did really well, I thought.

This is good to hear, we'll be driving from CA to MS the week of the 16th and i'm not sure what the weather will be like.

I was quite pleased with how well my rugged terrains performed in the ice and snow this past weekend as well

rs9000 with my ride controller. BFG rugged terrain 2012 tread style.
OK, these start out great, get noisier than a freight train and cup on the inside and out, on every other tread. 2004 Tacoma 4dr 4x4
Went back to rugged trails and have NO problems!
Currently arguing with BFG Directly and they want to blame my vehicle. They are only going to give me 25% and I have 60% tread left. At least they could have prorated them.
Friends 1996 4Runner has the same problem with his. These are defective tires and it might just be this size that does this 265/70R16.
    Have about 30k on them

Take pics , document alignments and balance and rotations and post issues with these tires.
