Duratracs. Zero wobble; weight on BOTH sides. Love the krap out of them. Had them for a few weeks now.

I had some BGF AT's for appox. 16K miles and they rode great but got terrible millage. I then sold those and bought the Duratrack... drove them for 1K miles and hated every mile. My steering wheel shook/vibrated down the freeway. I had them rebalanced too and they continued to annoying vibrating down the freeway. I was able to return the tires and I put on the Michelin LTX AT2 and absolutely love them. They aren't as cool looking as the other two tires but they are totally worth it in the way they drive, and much quieter ... also my MPG's went up 2 to 3 which is awesome!

anyway... out of those two tires (BFG AT or the Duratrac) I would definitely choose the BFG
    Hope my 2cents helps
    Good Luck!!!!

Just drove back and forth from the SF Bay Area to Reno. No wobbles or vibration; just road noise but that's expected because it's not a Cadillac! I normally have the radio on so I don't even care about the road noise...

    BEST A/T TIRE!

After a little more than a week of driving on the Duratracs (and a week a month or 2 ago of driving on the TA/KOs), I would have to say that the Duratracs, to me are far superior on asphalt for noise and comfort. Not near as noisy and not near as rough as the TA/KOs.

    BFG is winning???

I think that Duratrac is a much better looking and performing tire...the only thing it lacks is a tread warranty...BFG A/Ts have a 40,000 mile tread warranty

Duratracs weren't so popular at the time when this thread was created. It's getting very popular. I remember when BFGs had 2 times the vote. Duratracs certainly caught up.

How's the ride, acceleration and mileage on E rated Duratrac 275/65-18 compared to Terra Grapplers C rated tire in the same size? I ordered some TG's in this size to avoid the rough ride and decreased acceleration and mpg's, but I know that I will miss the rugged good looks of the Duratracs. I'm using the truck to carry some tools and materials in the back and generally make short trips around town with some occasional long freeway trips.

    Duratrac 275/65-18 E or Terra Grappler C?

I've got the 285/75/16 Duratracs and I really like them so far. I just drove a 2000 mile road trip a few weeks ago and these tires did very well. Here is a picture of them installed on my FJ wheels.
