I just put on the General AT2's from BFG t/a ko's and they are not =. The BFG were not a bad tirethey were on the truck when I bought them with about 95-90% tread left. 25k miles and they were toast. regular rotations and all. I had a fair amount of gouging going on with them. The AT2's are a bit softer so they don't gouge and they clean out very well due to the lugs being sectioned. With that said, the Generals are a better tire IMO. They grip better on wet roads and and wet muddy rocks too. Don't rule them out because they are cheaper. Plus they can be studded.

Hey Guys, I haven't heard to many good things about goodyear wranglers. They make alot of road nosie and suck for traction... I could be wrong.. I personally like the BFG's. But even I am tossing tires around trying to find the right price and an awesome tire.

I hope not lol. They are louder than the average AT, but traction wise you could'nt be more mislead.

i'm about to get a new set of tires and these are my 2 choices in 265/75/16. i'm leaning twards the duratrac's because i like how they look and would be perfect for the lil offroadin i do but i also like the bfg's. i read that they are both good in dry/snow/ice but how are they in the rain? we get alot of rain in va and thats my biggest concern.

We get a ton of rain here on the west coast, I've had 3 sets of BFG AT and not had any problems with water on the road and hydroplaning, the tires have all been great mind you I didn't wear a single set out replaced the truck first haha. My only issue with the BFG is that they throw rocks like crazy, the Duratracs look like a good tire, I think they would be better in the snow and the mud?

I'm on the fence about the Duratrac's too, as I am getting new tires in about 3 weeks, and I'm either going with Revo 2's or Duratracs.

The Duratrac's seem a bit aggressive for mainly highway driving with the weekly trip to the mountians snowboarding. But everyone says they ride quiet, and the guy at the local Discount Tire said he'd recommend the Duratrac's over the Revo's, and I'd most likely get more miles out of the Duratrac's as well.

You duratrac guys - did you go with "E" rated for a stiffer tire? some of the comments I have seen said the sidewall gave too much on curves.
Do you still like the duratracs?

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I went with the 10 ply and have put about 3K on them and so far I think they are great.

I say go with the Wrangler MT/R. They ride and drive very similar to the Duratrac from what I can tell driving a buddies truck with the Duratrac's. Heres a picture of the Jeep with the MT/R's. 33x12.50

I personally went with the c sidewall as i like the side wall to flex for the rocks here in co. If the truck only say pavement i would say there is no reason to get this aggresive of a tire. Plus a 10 ply on a taco is just over kill...

Can't find anything but load range E right now and I need to trade tires as soon as I get my truck, they are giving me a good trade in.

Do you think the tires are noisy?

thankyou scott for posting your truck with the tires on. Now I'm sold on them, they look great and not overwhelming like the Duratracs.

i cant stand the sidewall looks of that duratrac. Another thing to consider that i have had experience with is the rubber compound bfg uses. I had bfg mts on my wrangler and they dry rot like no other. literally crackes all thoughout the sidewalls. Love the look of them though, however the mts may be a different compound then the ats, however i doubt that.
