So this is my first post, but hopefully not my last. Looking to pick up a Gen 3 Tacoma TRD off road soon (within the next few days). Planning to go white, and add Bilstein 6100/5160 package for about 2" of lift with a Deaver AAL or the Dakar leaf pack The tire dilemma:

I would like either Method NV or Ray 10 in the Bronze, but struggling on tire sizes.

    Options I'm considering are:

    255/75/17 (like it because it's a load range C)
34x10.5x17 (like it because it's a slightly taller 33", dislike the cost, dear lord!!!!)
285/70/17 (seems like a happy medium, but heavy load range E)

Comments and thoughts plz. And I have spent 3-4 days reading existing comments.....still haven't made up my mind!

Unless you want to trim and chop stick with 265/70/17

Can’t go wrong with 285/70R17. Love the wide wide. Only lost a minuscule amount of fuel mileage too.

255/80r17 is what you want since it's a hair over 33" tall. Only thing is BFG only offers their KM2 in that size (a mud tire). If you're open to other tires, the Cooper ST Maxx is offered in that size. They perform amazingly both on and off road. That's what I'm running. Just be advised with those wheels, you'll rub a little bit.
