I emailed BFG about the 265/70/16 or a C/D range for 265/75/16. They said the 265/70 would be October in a D range. I assume the same for 265/75/16 LRD.

I really hope they release them sooner than that.

Just got a set of KO2 265/70/17 Load C mounted up. Had to take back a set of ST Maxx's, must've been a bad set.

I am considering this size and load range. What is the ride like compared to what you took off before the ST Maxxs?

Well before the ST Maxx's I had Duratracs, each were Load E, before those I ran a set of P rated General Grabber AT2's. All have been 265/70/17's and same wheels.

The noticeable difference is they ride more rigid due to the stiffer side walls, you'll mainly feel more bumps etc from the surface's you're on (If you're not familiar with it, it's almost the feeling of having too much air in your tires). That goes for St Maxx, Duratrac, and these new BFG KO2's, when compared to the P rated Grabbers, which almost Cadilac'ed.

Today going from the Load E Maxx's to Load C KO2's, I was expecting a bit more of a softer ride, but I believe it to be very close to the Maxx's. I noticed the difference in tire weight coming thru the steering wheel in certain turns, I could feel that these are lighter than the two previous Load E sets.
Also started @ 35psi pulled over dropped them down to 32psi all round, didn't notice much of a change in ride quality.

However the KO2's roll smoother, I'm pretty sure bc the tread design is more interlocking and less gapped than the Maxx's and Duratracs. KO2's are quite and noticably more over Duratracs and Maxx's.
So far they seem to track nice and straight as well, good response in turning etc too. That's all I have for now, hope it helps.

I don't see 265/70/17 listed on Ebay for this promotion. Anyone know if they are available?

I just looked... I only saw the 265/70 in the original T/A KO.

I think I remember reading that the 265/70/17 wasn't a size in the original release and they were going to be released at a later date.

They are listed on their website as available but not on ebay. May have to call them. I want the C-load range rather than the E. want to save weight.

You sure you managed to get Load C KO2s? I didn't see anything other than Load-range E when I was looking initially. I actually was leaning towards going with Duratracs instead of these purely because of the load-range and the fact that C wasn't available on KO2s. This might really change my mind though...

100% Positive KO2 Load C 265/70/17, BFG just released them. You don't wana go Duratrac, they don't ride as smooth and are louder. But you might not mind that idk, just my opinion, but I've had them too.

I should clarify, when I said ride smooth, the KO2 rolls smoother, I'm sure bc the tread design. But if you're worried about ride stiffness, between the Load ranges C and D etc, there's suprisingly not much difference. The KO2 Load C to me rides just as stiff as the Load E Duratrac and Cooper ST Maxx.

And that's all recent and new tires to go from.

Thanks, I didn't realize they just were released in that load range. That's great news! I'm actually really concerned about ride quality. It doesn't have to be a cadillac but I'm not going to intentionally make the ride worse just because I want some aggressive ATs. I've done the Jeep with MTR thing for a while it's miserable as a daily driver (as is a stiff 2004 WRX STI). I know it kind of sounds comical but this truck is actually going to be the plush riding vehicle between my car and the Jeep that now has boggers...

I'll tell you now, they ride firm and stiff, but they roll smoother than Mt's.
Do you like them just for the look or? Are you going to be offroading at all? If you're mainly gonna be driving on road and want a plush ride, but a similar tread pattern, and you want it to Cadilac a little. You should consider the P rated General Grabber AT2's, I ran those for a couple years. Smooth, quite, and cushy.

Here's some shots of mine with the Grabbers...Oh and much better on your$ pocket

Like others, the 265/75R16's fit just fine on my 2015 DC OR, stock rims and no lift. I think I will however do the Billstein 5100's, just to level things out and give a little more room in front for loose rocks to make it out of the wheel well.

Ride is noticeably rougher vs the stock tires, but hey this is a truck, not a car. The stock rims profile the tire more narrow and tall, vs wider aftermarket rims that I see around. So, the truck rides higher, between the ground and the skid plate/drivetrain/frame.....this is a "real" lift!

Had not noticed previously that my (stock) 4X4 OR already has an extra leaf in the rear, compared to the PreRunner and some earlier OR's (just looked at one out in the parking lot). This makes the back plenty high, and it gives it a bit of a rake....which I don't really care for. So, leveling the front out with some 5100's will come sooner, rather than later.

With the BFG's, it rides 1"+ higher off the ground (where it counts most!), but by no means do the tires look weird (tall and skinny), on the stock rims.

Thanks for the advice. It is 100% a road truck that will see sandy trails and possibly some muddy fields. I have an offroad rig for offroad use. I just want to make sure it works well in Michigan in the snow, that's pretty much the only requirement for my next all terrain tire.

Well I took those Generals thru a heafty Michigan Winter Last year, did just fine. I think for what you're wanting they would be a good choice and save you some bucks, but that's your choice of course.
