    A little on the small side eh? I wonder how wide the rim was? Many 17" rims are 8.5 or even 9" wide. A wider rim might reduce the O.D. a bit. :notsure:

    Pretty happy with the tires so far. Definitely Can feel the knubbyness of the ride compared to the rugged trails but alot smoother than I thought.

    I would just a touch higher in terms of road noise. On a 1-10 scale (10 being loudest) id say the rugged trails are a 5 and the KO2's are a 6.

    With the KO2's in 265/75/16 (compared to rugged trail in 265/70/16 ) the tacoma has lost a step in acceleration but imo the was slow to begin with so that doesnt bother me at all.

    I am at stock height and am rubbing just a bit (I also have spidertrax spacers) but hopefuly the lift will fix that.

    Overall very happy I choose these over the Toyo open country A/T 2. Oh and they look badass

    Brand new tires always seem smooth, quiet and totally different.

    I want to hear a 10k+ mile report on how they ride, noise level and grip.

    Hopefully these will be better than the KO ancient design for prolonged mileage and performance.

    My truck would chew through the KO in E rating in 25k-30k miles

    1200 miles on my KO2's now. Love them! 200 of that is fairly well groomed dirt roads, and 100 of fairly serious southwest desert off roading. Have not yet had to air down in deep sand, but I make a point of keeping up my momentum in those conditions.

    The ride on the highway is very good as well.

    I'm running 285's ride is good. A little rougher then stock wheels, I also have a 3" Icon Lift, so i expected some roughness. But overall not a bad tire, no complaints from me...

    I have the 275/70/17s. They are smoother than the old KOs. Pretty darn quiet. I've had them out at Joshua Tree on some pretty rocky trails and they worked very well. They are pretty heavy and I could tell right away that my truck had to work harder to get going. Also, my mileage got worse by about 1 - 1.5 MPG. I really like the way they look tho.

    yeah it took me a long time to come to that purchase to because of the E rating too probably won't have the c out for a year or so at least not in my tire size but as I said in an earlier post its a heavy shoe but its solid.

    44lb/tire.. that's 33% increase in weight, in most cases, compared to the OEM tires... unsprung weight is very sensitive. Some ppl claim unsprung weight is comparable to sprung weight via a 4:1 ratio...

    So at 11lbs/ea... that's 44 total... x4... a 176lbs equivalent... every 100 lbs of sprung weight is a 10th of a sec in the quarter mile.

    not to mention the increased rolling resistance and gearing woes, if you wider and taller

    I'm willing to say that almost all stock factory spec tires that people are upgrading from on the little 265/70/16 size range are around 35lbs.

    So having a tire that now a 265/75/16 C rated is only 44lbs but a lot more rugged is a fair trade off.

    However when people jump right into a bigger tire like a 285/75/16 or equivalent the tire will now need to be an E rated tire and weigh over 55 lbs on average with some up to 65+lbs like general red letters.

    Keep in mind when upgrading wheels that aluminum aftermarket is generally a lighter stronger upgrade from stock as well, so that weight factors in as well.
