    Working on it!
    Warning.... possible stupid question ahead.

Do they make a 275 70 17 with a C load range or is that size only available in E?

Only E as far as the KO2 is concerned. 265/70/17 and 255/75/17 are available in C and are close to the 275 in diameter.

Anyone that is running the 34-10.50-17, what was needed to prevent rubbing? Lift specs/trimming/cab mount chop?

I have this size in E. Don't think you can get them in C.

I am. It depends on the wheels you run. I have heard that wheels with or near factory back spacing don't rub. I run 17x8.5" wheels with -10 offset and needed a cab mount chop, trimmed bottom corners of the fender flares, and trimmed and remolded my husky mud flaps along with a very specific alignment using my SPC ucas. Tons of room now.

Thanks for the info. I have SPC uca, what specs are you using with them?

How's the power? You feel the need to regear with them?

A regear would be nice, but it is ok for now. Depending on how much long distance traveling I do with it this year I may go back to a 32" tire after they wear out. You really feel it on the highway. My truck is also heavy with a steel bumper, skids, and sliders

Just hit 5k on mine last week. Very happy still as they perform excellent in snow, ice, rain, and dry. I've been able to quantify the gas mileage hit to about 10% on the highway. At slow speed(Below 50 mph) it's not noticeable and the truck will still get good mileage. Above 60 mph and mileage drops off like a rock.

So would I recommend these? Yes if you want excellent traction but go in knowing your highway MPG will go down.

I got about 27k miles on my Ko2's and they still look brand new!

I average 17-18MPG with these tires going at 70MPH highway; compare to the OEM Rugged trails that came with the truck which I got 20-21MPG on them. The lost in MPG does suck; I use to drive 62 miles back and forth to work; all highway miles so I always monitor my fuel usage. A nice thing though is that the traction is so much better; I don't have the ABS problems like before. I once made a corner coming off the highway and the ABS kicked in, I lost all brake feel and the truck felt like it was just going to slide straight instead of wanting to turn, scary moment. Changing to these tires I haven't had that issue since.

Sounds like your vehicle stability control was kicking in. This can occur after a lift. This thread has what may be a solution.

Hmm, thank you. Gonna give it a go in the morning; I haven't experienced the issue since but I remember the feeling, it was like a total lost of control. I almost couldn't make the turn.

I was on the freeway this morning going to work. The road has some bouncy spots going at 70 mph. Something came on and made the left wheel brake. Is this what the thread is talking about? Never had it happen before. I'm about out extended warranty on my 12, so I want to make sure this thread is what I encountered and not something wrong with my truck that would be covered under warranty. I came from an 2006 a year and half ago. My 2012 has a 3" lift with the Toytec suspension.

Not to go off topic about the tires; but YES that's kinda exactly what happened to me. I remember hitting a bump before trying to make my turn and then felt like I lost all braking control; frightening. Anyhow I did the calibrate thing today and hope that all is well from now on.

It was frightening. Sounds like this is what I gotta do.

    Carry on to discussing KO2's!

Anyone else developing odd wear spots on the KO2's? I was changing out some sway bar bushings this morning and noticed this when rolling the front tires off the truck:

It looks like they are disintegrating in a few spots. Moving down the same tire, there is no sign of unusual wear:

I barely have 5k on this set of tires. My original KO's wore even and stayed true, but these are starting to concern me. Found spots on both front tires, but none on the rear tires. I did a search for wear spots on KO2's but didn't find anything like this. Thoughts or advice?

I don't recall any hard stops since I got them, usually conservative with the pedals, but it is possible. Guess I will rotate them to the back and see what happens.

Anyone have any idea if the Ko2s are bigger than the Kos in 285/75r16?

I felt that my 285 Kos ran a bit small. Thinking of getting Ko2s so it would be nice if they ran closer to other 33s on the market.
