Anyone have any leads on 4th of July weekend sales for KO2s? I'm looking to pull the trigger this weekend and figure there has to be a tire sale on such an American holiday!
    Thanks guys/gals!

Funny you mentioned Discount, I literally got a promotional email from them for $100 rebate Visa card with the purchase of 4 of their "best rated" tires! The KO2s qualify for this!
The sale runs from June 30th to July 1st
For anyone interested, you get an additional $60 if you use their Discount Tire credit card.

Curious what PSI I should be running my 265/70/16 KO2s to get the best wear and MPGs.
Right now I'm running them at around 35-37.... when HOT.....

I do a pile of highway driving... about 40k/year.

I'm torn between just getting the stock size in E load, moving up to a 275 70 16 in D load, or moving up to 17's just so I can run 265 70 17 in C load range. Decisions decisions lol. Ideal would be 265 70 16 in C load.....

Too bad your far away from me, I'd sell you my 2015 Sport 17" alloy takoffs cheap! I'm glad I'm going with the 265 70 17 for the lighter sidewall load C.

The door placard on a TRD Pro which has the same size LT tires is 46 PSI cold (front and rear the same).

    Yes, here's what to do:
    1. Find the size you want at 4wd.com
    2. Put it in the cart and it'll show no tax + free shipping + rebates
    3. Print off the quote and take it in to Discount. They'll match the out-the-door price (may have to haggle a bit to make sure they match it but they will).

Saved me about $150 on my new set of KO2s a couple months ago.

LT should be at higher PSI than a P rated but that's a bit high IMO. I think I'm running at like 32-33 psi and wear is great after 20k

i missed the part about best MPG, you are prob fine at 35-37 just watch for center wear

    Awesome info,
I printed a few quotes to help leverage. The best I could find for the price is at a place called discounted wheel warehouse. $844 shipped ($186.86 each) with no tax.
Even if I have to pay what Discount Tire what was quoted with the rebate, I don't mind too much since Discount Tire has always treated me with a lot of respect and goes out of their way to make sure things are done right.
Either way, I'm excited to get the new wheels/tires on!

I'm getting the same 265/70/17 installed today after work at Discount Tire. Going on Method NV Standard wheels as well. This be my 4th straight set: KO, KO, KO2, and KO2 once again at Discount Tire. I always consider other tires, but last minute revert back to this KO/KO2.

My Dicount Tire honored the price of $186.86 each! Print that out and take it with you! And I'll be getting the $100 rebate back too!!!

I would, but I already did price match at $209. My tires are waiting on me, prefer not to ask to lower again after what I agreed upon. Mmmm...or should I?

I'd do it, I brought a couple online quotes since I wasn't sure if they honor one over the other due to shipping etc. they helped me pick the best one they could.
If they're as helpful at your store as mine, which sometimes makes a difference from what I've heard.

I think the tires on the 2015 Pro were original KOs which weren't E range. So a higher PSI probably wasn't an issue. But 46 PSI on the KO2 for that size tire is too high. I run 38 PSI on the road with the KO2s

Well I pulled the trigger on a set of Falken Wildpeaks and so far they're loads better than my e rated KO2s in the rain. I loved the look of the bfgs but I couldn't justify paying $1000 on a set of tires that would make me lose my rear end if I ever exceeded 2000-2500rpm off of a stop. Wish they made a load range c tire in the 16 inch range.

They were a D range. But inflation tables for LT tires are actually identical for all load ranges, the higher ranges just have a table that goes to higher pressures. Notice door placards for LT tires never specify the load range and just the size. That's because it is only the size that matters and not the load range.

Anywho, there are a variety of ways to determine "optimal" pressure as everyone knows. Toyota said 46 psi for LT265/70R16 - which actually is a close match to the equivalent load pressure on the non-Pro stock P tires on the OR. Or you can chalk test, hot pressure rise test, etc etc.
