You would think they would offer 265 70 16 in a c considering how many Tacoma's are out there and it being a popular size to upgrade too. When it's time for me to get tires I may just do the c Duratrac. They're 44lbs...If I do an E it will probably be in the stock size so it will at least not throw the gearing off. The 3rd gen is geared too high already

That's why on my first Taco I upgraded to 17" wheels, more options in load range.

I have the BFG KO2 on two trucks, 265/70/16 and 275/70/16. They are much quieter on the road compared with the old KO. They are ok on mud and rough terrain.I didn't managed to get stuck yet. In my opinion with the KO2 you are getting a really good balance between daily driver and off-road capabilities. I'm not doing anything insane in terms of off-roading but my place it's getting really muddy when it rains.

Nice!!! See if they'll honor a price match at that time as well. $186 each was a heck of a deal!

Please explain the loads better than the KO2s in the rain. Had you been sliding around on your KO2s? Hydroplaned on the KO2s? When you had the truck on the g force pad they broke loose sooner? I drive like an idiot and am the guy that has my vehicle on the edge of departure wet and dry and have not had any issues with the KO2s in rain or dry. Mud now that would be a different story.

I've slid around corners, skidded for over 50 feet while merging from a stop (you look down and your traction control light is flashing like crazy) and skidded plenty of other places whereas my new set of tires hasn't broken traction yet with much more "agressive" driving. Never hydroplaned on them tho and keep in mind these were 245s..

I bought them for $188 a tire so I'm not to worried about the $8. Thanks for the help though. For some reason the 75R are cheaper then the 70R

Wow, nice. I was going to pay $225 each
So the price match to $186 was a steal!

100% agree and that's why I don't want to go any larger of tire. I'm thinking stock size in the E load is what I'm gonna try. It's actually a really cheap tire size for ko2s anyways so why not.

I'm pretty happy with these tires. No mods or rubbing. Yes, more stiff a ride over those harsh potholes, but overall they are just fine.

I run LT 265/70 R16s on the 3rd Gen Pro wheels. They are the E range.

This guy is bsing. It doesn't rain much here so when it does the streets are super slick and I've had zero problems. Also haven't had any problems in snow.

I don't really have any reason to bs. I loved the look of the tires and the performance besides from wet streets and ran them for over 2 years. I've talked to others with similar issues on the tires some being on the original KO's but have also heard from plenty of people that they were phenomenal on wet pavement, just sharing my experiences.. Never drove them in snow (we don't get any down here).

I'm having a love hate with these KO2s. Love the looks and toughness and also they run fairly quiet. I jumped up to 265/75/16 and my MPGs have suffered greatly. I haven't taken them off road much but what i do know is that they sure the hell collect rocks. My original KOs which i had siped, didn't collect near as many.

    Just a few LEDs...
Your actual MPGs probably didn't change much. When you move up to a larger diameter tire, it takes fewer revolutions to go the same distance that you did with smaller tires. Therefore, your odometer sees fewer miles travelled even though you have actually travelled the same distance. As a result, you use about the same amount of fuel to travel what appears to be a shorter distance. I hope this makes sense.

I went up to 265/70/17s which are the same diameter as your 265/75/16s and I have observed that my odometer is a little more than 3% slower than it was before.
This correlates with the difference shown by the tire size calculator.
