I have a 2017. I'm looking at going to 275/70/17, but i have to admit, I'm concerned about being able to turn them. I feel like it's all my truck can do to maintain 70 mph on the interstate here in the TN hills. How is your truck doing with the 285's?

It's doing great. I've had no complaints ... I also live in Florida though so I can't speak to hills!

I have heard mixed reviews on the KO2 in the rain. This is a legitimate concern for many. I have never owned a BFG KO or KO2 but I have heard and read from many that they are not good in the rain. I have no firsthand experience and would like to hear more because I'm considering this tire. The folks below weren't impressed.

So I live in one of the rainier parts of the continent and definitely fussy when it comes to traction. I only got the KO2s in April, but there was still plenty of rain for over a month before the summer weather appeared. In those deluges I would rate the tires as very good. Hydroplaning was non existent in deep puddles even at highway speeds and I found around driving to be of no concern.

Thanks, real world experiences speak volumes, not just some guy trying to yank a Raptor around in the rain. How much of a ride difference if any do you notice going from stock to the KO2s?

Yeah they do good in the rain. Have you opened a window when it's dry while driving in a parking lot? Sounds like you're driving in the rain lol.

Stock P rated to LT E rating... yes, a noticeable difference. Overall they are just fine but you just got to find the right PSI to run. I find on the gnarly potholes its quite a thud than before that is related to the heavier tire more than the stiffness of the sidewalls. I'll likely beef up the suspension at some point, but then that was going to happen regardless of my tire choice.

I appreciate the feedback, my friend. Many thanks. I never really mod my stuff much but I'm so tired of trying to find decent tires until I think I'm going to a Pro rim, maybe FN, and bump up to 17" so I can have some tire choices.

Ive been running my ko2s for around 2 years in my 4banger taco. Living here in ny we get rain, snow, hail and everything u can think of. These tires require more maintenance than other tires due to the aggressive thread. Over the 2 years i had the tires i must have balanced and rotate em around 4 times. They get fine but then i start to feel vibrations that only get fixed with a balancing. I would prob get em again. But i also like the looks of the cooper stt pro.

Thanks! Yes, the Cooper STT MAXX and Pro are very good tires. I think unfortunately balance issues can be an issue for almost any tire nowadays since they are being produced as quickly as possible to meet demand.

I'm in Canada and stopped by a "Kal tire" today, as I'm interested in getting the KO2's as well. We chatted a bit and the manager used an app that showed what would happen if I went from the TRD sport stock size of 265/65/17... up to 265/70/17R. According to their info, the difference was an inch in diameter and when I'm driving 100 km/h (speedometer reading) I'd actually be riding at 103 km/h... which depending on where I'm driving, could land me a speeding ticket. Anyone have any input on this?

The odometer is accurate on the stock tires, but the speedometer actually reads a bit fast on them. I went with the 265/70/17s and my speedometer is dead on balls accurate now. (it's an industry term)

Ask around and you will probably hear the same from others.

Confirmed, jumping to 265/75/16 puts it in-line with GPS

So I'm set to get a set on Saturday morning. Not truly my first choice but I'm limited in C load offerings in the 42-46lb range that's also durable. It's between these and A/T3's at the moment.
