Debating on buying a set of new tires. Either 265-75-16 or 265-85-16, not sure if the larger will fit stock BAJA TX w/ trimmed mud flaps.

    White letters out or in??

Pretty sure 265/85/16 doesn't exist, but if it did, I would definitely buy them.

The closest you can get to that size would be 255/85/16 (not available as a KO2) or instead a 34x10.5r17

correct, I was thinking 255-85-16 but only available in the Mud Terrain. I'll go with the 265-75-16s good rebate deal going.

Michelin MS2 (now Defender iirc). Or copper at3 if you're looking for a little more aggressive

Thats the size i run and love them. Was able to get them cheap off a JK (they come stock with 255/75/17). I have billes set at .85 in the front, so no rubbing. I think they'd rub without the billies.

C rated is lighter than E, any reason you dont want SL? What percentage onroad/offroad driving do you do? They make a nice SL duratrac in 255/75/17..

I ended up getting the C rated KO2's. I'm starting to do a good amount of off-road driving in places that aren't super trafficked. In my opinion if I'm going to off-road at all I'm not chancing it with SL or P rated tire's. That's why C rated was best for me. Tougher than P rated but not crazy heavy.

I would have done that if I could. E rated is too much for this little truck.

That's what a lot of guys in the 4cyl section were saying. I'm really pleased with my purchase. My engine doesn't feel strained or laggy at all. It has less punch at high speeds but that's about it. I also didn't loose MPG's really. Maybe 1MPG or so.

I am having 265x75x16 E rated installed now at Costco. Not sure if they will give me grief with over stock tires. I may need to mount myself. Fingers crossed. Can't wait to see how they look on newly painted flat black 16" TRD wheels. I have heavy duty rear springs so clearance at the rear will be fine. Worried about front clearances. Will eventually have the front lifted to even out the stance.

Well its time to replace my BFG's after 3 years I have 45,000 great tire. I live in Vermont so a lot of dirt roads, mud and a lot os snow and ice roads. BFG's work great but wow $1050 for a set of 4 mounted and balanced:( Might have to look for an alternate tire I really hate too

I checked out that site thanks for the tip. That's better $846 after mail in rebate. That's about the price I was thinking

Check out discount tire direct too. They will price match and then you can get the replacement certs ( which add cost but are worth it if you wheel anything other than dirt roads imo.). I had then price match 4wd.com back when I got my tires.
