Thanks man! I've been debating on 265 or 285 KM3's for a while and since I drive off road just as much as I do on road I wanted to make sure.

I clear fine on my Pro with stock suspension. Any other Tacoma model and you’ll rub. I had a 2017 TRD OR with the same wheel and tire size and had to lift. I’m lifting the Pro on Thursday just because I want a couple more inches.

I’m doing the same lift as @daltondrose. Revtek TRD Pro lift. About 2” in front and 1.5” in rear.

Been running 315/75R16 KM3’s for 12,000 miles so far. They are an improvement over the KM2 and continue to impress me. Great on road performance for a mud terrain and really shine off-road.

I emailed BFG asking them when they were going to put their traditional white letters on the KM3. They replied back and told me they weren’t planning on it. I hope they keep making the KM2s for awhile.

I’m glad!! I have white letters. I wish they would do like Grey or some other color. White makes no sense on a Mud tire.

Spray paint or a tire paint pen make it go away.

Doing the old tire research for mud tires...I've looked at several and watched a few youtubes on BFG KM3 M/Ts, Cooper STT Pros, and Super Swamper SS TSLs

Is your truck suspension stock? any lifts or cutting to make the 315/70-17s fit?

Edit: I finally got to your post...lift with lots of chopping

    Thanks

I have king suspension 3" and yes lost of body chop. Does not rub at all day to day and only if hard off road. I also just put 5.29's on (had 4.88). Good combination.

Anyone have any feedback on rain or snow? Thinking of the KM3s to replace the K02's I have now. The K02s are horrid in wet conditions.

I had mine in snow the other day and worked well (did not expect that). They seem fine in rain.

The STT Pro is also a great MT tire. It was my third choice behind the Yokohama Geolandar MT G003. Those three tires offer great off-road traction and are bearable on the road (smooth ride and can still carry on a conversation). Super Swampers are not a tire you want on a truck that is used as a daily driver.

That is good to hear. My front end slides all over with my K02's in the rain. So was so so but not great. Def a dirt/sand tire. KM3 is next on my list so far. Too bad they are one heavy ass tire though in comparison to other E rated tires.

Did you purchase local or online? I agree with the swampers...after two youtube videos I was out. Way to loud for me, it would drowned out the radio/cell phone/conversations...I'll look at the yokohama mt too.

I worked in the tire industry for just shy of 10 years, so I get deals locally on any tire out there. I’ll say that tire prices are not set in stone, so if you know how to haggle you can get great deals...
