A combo of Amazon and Discount Tire. I bet 6 came from Amazon from returns, etc. Road force balanced 4 times (3 different places - twice being Discount Tire). Aligned once.... It's crazy, but EEEEVERYONE is saying it's my tires. Even one of the biggest Toyota dealerships in Ohio. And everyone is telling me to go to KO2's.

That settles it for me. Thanks guys. My dad has Wildpeaks and even before I saw the last few posts he told me that he didn't get good wear out of them. He got the tires maybe two years ago but I don't think his mileage is more than average. Going KO2 when I find a good price.

Spoke to Falken again today… They said to get my tires changed to whatever I want, anywhere, and send them the receipt. Also to bring my old tires back home and print my original receipts and swap receipts, they’ll ship them back to their facility via FedEx for free. Said it could take 30 days to get my refund, but they will prorate it depending on how much tread is left… They only have about 3k miles on them, so we'll see what I get back.

Shitty part about this whole situation, is Falken's customer service has been SPECTACULAR. I've just had a bad experience with their product and my truck.

I cannot wait until Friday to get my KO2's.

Got my Falkens on last Tuesday and told them to mount with yellow dot on the valvestem. Well they didn’t but said we’ll balance them correctly. Next day on the freeway I had definitely noticed vibration so I called to tell them about it.
They said comeback and we will road force balance them and come to find out three of the four tires were not balanced correctly so they rebalanced two and had to remount the third with the yellow dot on the valvestem and now there smooth..
Funny thing was when I looked all the weight was lined up with the yellow dot after the first balance suggesting that was the lightest part of the tire like Falken said.
    Anyway all good now.

I’m convinced most shops don’t have a clue how to balance tires and don’t check them after they put weights on. I had tires mounted and balanced on my vw by a local premium shop and I noticed some vibration. I bought a static balancer to double check and it was way off on one wheel, I corrected and vibration was gone...

Prompted me to diy mount/balance my wildpeaks and they took very little weight with the yellow dot on the valve stem.

Surprised this was your top choice considering they offered any tire.

Solid, reliable tire based off of my personal research and reading reviews. A few friends have them and love them. I like the reputation of BF Goodrich too. It’s not a full exchange, I’ll just get my money back for what I paid for the Wildpeaks.

I'm looking into both of these tires. A lot of people it seems tend mention wildpeaks to save some money but everywhere I look these tires are the same price. looking at 285 75 16. I'm curious on ko2 performance on snowy highway and road noise vs the Wildpeaks. Everyone seems to have good things to say about the Wildpeaks road noise and snow performance.

I have LT285/70/17 E Wildpeaks on my Canyon and I just put a set of LT265/70/17 E KO2 on my work Canyon. A quick drive showed me the KO2s are louder at least when brand new and I can feel the tread whereas I can't feel the tread on the Wildpeak. I'll let the KO2s break in before I pass judgement.

If durability is a huge concern then I would go with the KO2 E-load for the 3ply sidewall over the Wildpeak. If you are going with a C load then I'd go with the Wildpeak which I feel is overall a better tire but doesn't have the sidewall strength of the E load KO2. The sidewalls on the KO2 E are incredibly thick! Of course if you're not really going offroad at all then the Wildpeak in P-metric is an awesome tire and offers WAY better wet and snow grip than the KO2.

I'm on the fence here guys! wildpeaks offer 55k miles warranty. KO2 don't :( I really want KO2 but I'm leaving towards the warranty

I'm at 30k miles with my FWP's, plenty of tire left, all kinds of driving!
    Would buy them again!

I just picked up a 2020 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium with FWP’s on TRD Pro wheels. I love the setup, but am having a phantom vibration at 55-65 that seems to come and go. I had them balanced at Discount, but no luck. I love the look and function of the Falkens, so hope I can get the shimmy/wobble figured out. KO2 will be my backup plan.

Ko2 even tho I’ve never tried falken. I’ve always ran KO or Ko2 here in B.C. heavy snow tons of rain aired down crawl or 130kmh max psi they perform amazing. They last long. They are quiet. They have stronger sidewalls and more load rating. On to about my 10th set over the years. Other companies bite their patterns. They are the iPhone of tires.

    Also they are the champions!

I bought the Wildpeak AT3w 235 85 16 a couple months ago and have 1500 miles on them so far. I have been very happy with their performance on slick snowy roads (not quite as good as a dedicated snow tire but worlds better than regular all seasons) and they did great on a couple of mild to moderate trails.

I have had absolutely no balancing or vibration issues. Mine are E load and the vibration issues seem to be more prevent on the P tires.

All that being said. I wish I had gone with KO2s just because I prefer the looks. When I bought my tires I decided to prioritize practicality and usefulness. The KO2s are a bit more expensive, but the Wildpeaks are just as good in every way for my needs. Well, as much as it pains me to admit, the K Bro 2's are just plain cool and I wish I had got them instead.

I had KO2’s on my 5th gen 4R. I liked them, but they always seemed to have vibration issues. Had 3-4 roadforce balances done and it just never worked.

Going to buy some Wildpeaks tomorrow for the Taco. I’ll report back.

$710 out the door. I’m pumped. Zero vibrations on the drive home. Here are a couple before and after photos.
