They are both good, I have Ko2s C and they are around 45 lbs so not very heavy considering sidewall protection.

For your needs... Falkens. I just put the same size in standard load (SL) on mine and love them. Pictures dont do them justice either, they look way better in person on the truck.

Had both, will never buy another KO2 again. Falken is better in every condition than the KO2 and way cheaper. Now if you wanna spend, Toyo AT2's are better than the Falkens, not sure if its worth the price jump, especially if you aren't gonna off road and see a lot of mud and snow which the toyo's excel in with their ability to keep the treads clear IMO. I've had all three, its either Falkens or Toyos for me in the future, won't even consider KO2 anymore, they look cool, but don't work for shit compared to the other two in any type of weather or off-road conditions.

Just saw this is an old thread that got bumped...oh well, points still stand.

I have the standard load range. The tire size is 285/70/17.

35,000 miles and still going strong.

Wow I'm really glad this got bumped. Looking for tires now and pretty much decided on General Grabber AT 2's. But the question is LT or P rating. Any recommendations either way?

I'm about to snag a set of Falken At's right now. For the price, I don't think they can be beat.

I'm confused, you selected a tire that wasn't the point of discussion in this thread?

The decision between P and LT really comes down to what you're going to use it for. If you're on pavement most of the time, I'd undeniably go P. My decision to go with LT's would be if I was spending a good amount of time off road especially in areas with puncture hazards. I've popped LT and P rated tires and always had a functioning spare so I choose P for the extra gas mileage.

Just snagged them on Ebay, 265/75 16, got all four for $465 shipped to my door. I think that's like $117 a piece.

Questions for you all. I have new a stock 2018 Tacoma SR5 4wd. My understanding is 265 X 75X 16" will fit under a stock toco with no mods and no rubbing? I do quite a bit of off roading, but mine is not that strenuous, lots of logging roads, nat forest roads and will venture out on to some mild jeep trails in search of fishing and camping. Going slow and not out to tear my rig up. It is also my daily driver. I have a jeep background and have had real good luck with BTG's T/A KO2's. I kind of like the looks and reviews of the Falkins as mention above and have considered GY duratracs as well. I also need to tow an RV about 3500 lbs of weight, not sure about the tire ratings C or E? Is the C actually cheaper than the E rated tires?

I am not looking for a lift kit, but I am curious if there is any advantage of going with 17" wheels over the stockers 16"? I would appreciate any thoughts on 17 vs 16 and the tires I was looking at. PS - Is my gas mileage going to take a big hit?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

Nice. I got lucky when I bought mine, too. http://myworld.ebay.com/discounttiredirect/ eBay store sometimes has a $100 off promo code. Mine were $450 shipped I believe.

2018 Tacoma, SR5, 4WD, just ordered my WildPeak tires 265 X 75R X 16" today from my local Discount Tire shop. $674 - out the door including tax, install, balance, replacement certificates, TPS overhaul and this was for 5 tires. I went ahead and ordered the same size for my spare and I will add that one into my tire rotation. This will add to the extended time of my tire life, spreading out the mileage between 5 tires and I will still have the correct spare for next time I order tires. Tires will be here in 3 to 5 days.

I just hope the 265 X 75 X 16" will fit without rubbing. I do not have a lift kit.

    Thank you Discount Tire!

They will fit and won't rub! Not a bad deal once you throw in all the extras you got
