    If you don’t mind me asking, how old were the tires they sent you? Did you happen to check the year? Just seems too good to be true is all.

    I paid like 130 at my dealer for these tires, I could see someone on eBay maybe doing a little better.

    Not sure of the fender opening profile on a 2018 but I put that sized tire in my 2015 without a lift and they did not rub.

    I recently put 235 85r16 Falkens on my trailer. Really smooth and quiet for an LT. Also amazing price for the quality on these. If they came in 255 85r16s I'd consider them for the truck.

    265/75R16 or 265/70R17 should fit your truck with no problem. There are many people who do fine with P rated tires and off-roading, however, some people like the extra protection of a hardier tire. The load ratings go as follows:
    P= 4 ply rating
    C= 6 ply rating
    D= 8 ply rating
    E= 10 ply rating
    It doesn't mean that is how many plies are actually in the tires; it is a load rating system. I don't want to get into all those details here. ;-)

    The lower ply ratings equate to a more compliant ride just like your factory tires. They are also the lightest generally speaking. I don't believe you can get an LT265/75R16 in a load C but I may be wrong. I know for sure you can get an LT265/70R17 load C in the KO2 or Duratrac. I know many people might disagree, but load E tires on our light trucks can ride a lot stiffer than load C and for sure P. It really depends on the tire because some seem to more compliant than others. Also, if you go from a P to a load E, your gas mileage will definitely take a hit due to the extra unsprung weight. Going from a P to a load C, it is very negligible. You will be fine towing 3500 lbs with any of those rated tires. Hope that helps.

    I have been doing some research on these two tire. I am looking for something that is decently quite on road and also handles pretty good on road but preforms well off road. I have heard good things about both would like to see if anyone has some feed back to let me know which way to go. Thank you!

    I’ve been doing some research as well. The wildpeaks come in a P rated. Which will be much better for mpg, ko2 I think just come in LT.

    I love my KO2s offroad, and in heavy snow.

    They do kinda suck on wet roads though. Here in Colorado, we don't get a lot of rain so it's not much of an issue.

    You can get KO2s in load C, which isn't near as bad as the ride as load E, but still not cushy like Ps.

    Another good option for people, looking to go P rated and like the KOs, is General Grabber AT2s.

    KO2s are quite, and are lasting a good long while, I haven't looked/or don't remember the miles I've put on them, but I know it's a good bit.

    I have the wild peaks.
    This is what I thought. I went with the p rated wildpeaks, coming from a duratrac load c. Same size as last, 265/75-16. My mileage actually dropped from 20 to 18 as soon as I put the new tires on. I was really surprised.

    I’ve had the wildpeaks for about 20-30 some thousand miles. I need to check. Tread is about half or a little under. Overall they’ve been decent. I’m starting to notice they don’t like starting from a stop on wet roads. Rear spins about every time. Not near as bad as the duratracs. They were like driving on ice when the roads were wet. Like I said above, I did take a hit on the mpgs. They are starting to get a little noisy, not horrible. They look good, and did a fairly decent job. Not sure if I would buy them again.

    You don't want a P rated tire offroad...if you do, then carry a couple spares.

    When it comes time to get another set would you get the Wildpeaks again or would you go back to your Load C Duratracs? Sounds like you'd go back or possibly even consider something else. The fact that you went down in MPG and are Load P is kind of the worst of both worlds IMO. To me, this sold me more on the Duratracs which is what I currently have. I love the look of them and they've been a decent tire for me thus far. I do mostly pavement pounding and while traction has waned a little bit as I get on in miles it was solid early on. They performed well offroad in the (sadly) limited amount of time I spend off of the pavement.

    There were some slight wearing issues (cupping mostly) but that's largely due to not rotating them as often as I could so I don't really blame the tires even though I've had a couple of buddies develop similar odd wear issues. I'm through our snow/ice season here in Colorado so I plan to run these through this summer but will certainly need a new set of tires by fall as the thread on these was showing more signs of slippage towards the end of this last winter. They didn't last quite as long as I would have liked but I think I timed it well to get through the winter and squeeze another 6 or 7 months out of them in the warm months. Now I'm watching threads like this over the months to see what other's experience is before I decide which tires to go with in the fall.

    The only reason I would get duratracs again would be if I bought them as a dedicated snow tire. At that, they are hands down the best tire I’ve had for those conditions. As a daily driver through the warmer months, I wouldn’t want them. They were a bit squirrelly on the highway, not very stable. Once they had some miles on them, they were absolutely dangerous on wet roads. I hated those tires.

    The wildpeaks, I’m unsure if I’d buy them again. They are an ok tire, but mpg drop was a disappointment, plus they don’t seem to last very long. They are much more stable on the highway than the duratracs. I can hug corners on back roads really well for an all terrain tire. About half tread left, and I’m starting to feel like it’s getting close to having to buy new ones. If I came across another tire that has great reviews that isn’t too heavy, I’d buy them.

    I have wild peaks on my Ram and the ko2 on my Tacoma and I like them both. Both are load range D. I’d say wild peaks are wearing better. If I were to do it again I’d put the wild peaks on my Tacoma too. If you’re looking for decent mpgs and decent value I’d recommend hankook at3. Have them on the wife’s car and am pleased with them. Slightly less aggressive looking though. These are p265 75 16.
