ebay bought headlights ( i put silicon around them and have not had a problem yet in the oregon rain ) the light output on the black magics are insane...super bright and i love the beam pattern, it took a little bit to get them aimed just right, but they are worth every penny.

dude, thats awesome! I just installed a grill craft grill. and my lights for behind it just came in, though I got the PIAA 580s or whatever number they are...they are the big ones, the 7inch ones.

Question, how did mount those lights?? I was afraid of having to move the horns, but if you did it without that, I'd love to know how you did that! Thanks!

ok guys, here are the pics, sorry the took so long. and i didnt think that this would be as popular as it is, so i apoligize for not taking pictures through the building process, but i do have finished pics, and i will show you guys how i did it....

start off by using a piece of 9/16" metal tube and cut it to about 35" in length. put it through this hole (green arrow) to get a measurement between these two brackets, (red arrows). while you have it in there, approx. measure where you want the tabs for the lights to go and mark it on the tube.

    lights3_2dfc9887d7ee80599998c5d72615ca386b285628.jpg

Pull the tube out, and cut the ends of the tube to match the angle of the two red arrow brackets. tack weld it in place,

    anglebar_c2f3931e27fa5712baf176fa6188760b801f3132.jpg

and then go make you tabs....The tabs i made out of 1/4" steel that i found in the shop, and the are about 1" wide by 2" long. drill a hole in there for the bolt to go through so you can mount the lights to them. At this time, i would make the aluminum spacers as well, i used 3/4" bar about 2.25" long and put it on the lathe and put a hole in it for the bolt to go through, ( you can drill it as well)

    tabs_02cff0127d8c3e85b493ce3348d382e15701f44c.jpg

after all of your parts are made, mark exactly where you want the ligts to be, and weld the tabs to the metal bar.

    middletube_6d6537e7c2bb8f3e909ec7e3efb1af52f4597ad7.jpg

now its time to install the lights! use a 2.5" bolt for mounting, intead of the one that it comes with), put the bold through the light, then the spacer, and then mount it to the tab and there you go!

    lights2_f0d7300bd6b6679f78ae0d6bb2a99d6ae9456581.jpg

The last step is to notch out the bottom part of your grill, since these lights fit perfectly inside the trimming on the inside, you have to notch it out a little bit. i also had to cut the middle hook down by about .25" inch.

Let me know if this helps you guys...sorry for such a shitty write-up.

OOOOOH. I now know what you meant when you explaining it to me. A picture is definately worth a 1000 words haha. Great idea, and I think its a pretty decent write-up. the pics help! I'll have to see about doing it this way, seems like a great idea! Thanks a ton!

Wow definitely the most legit light bar I've seen for behind the grille.. I used angle aluminum and bolted it to where my radiator and hood latch bolts go.
I like the look of the black magics but compared to my hid head lights and fog lights they were useless, so I returned them and got hella 700ffs and converted them to hid. I need to beef up my light bar though because they shake a little bit when I drive.

    Looks good though! Nice work!

thanks man, i thought about doing the hid conversion, but still on the fence about it, these black magics definetly get the job done for now..they dont shake, or move one bit.
