got this done today, i had the day off from work and it was supposed to rain all day (it didnt) so i did this

followed Viet's post and it went well.

baked at 300 degrees for 10 minutes (oven off when i put them in) they separated pretty easily. then i went to get some pain, nitehsade and sealer.
i went with Krylon Fusion (4 coats) then i sprayed the blinker lens and back side of the reflector with a few coats of niteshade tint. i like the way it came out.

i have a DDM 4300k HID kit in the heads from sharphid.com and some Nokya 2500k 42w fogs. cant wait to try it out at night

looks great. I sprayed my reflectors to dark and they sucked, could hardly see the blinkers. one thing lead to another and had to buy new headlights. but ya it looks sweet, next up. RETRO

yeah i used VHT niteshade, didnt take much, i did about 4 or 5 coats on them. on the reflector i did it on the underside (back bumpy area) , on the blinker lens i did a couple coats on each side (front and back) i wiped them with rubbing alcohol first.

the can is like $14 which is a rip, i was thinking that it might be kinda bad ass to use the VHT to do the BHLM, kinda that smoked chrome look that the newer ones have but you can darken it up. if not Krylon Fusion worked well.

I say go for it, i had no issues at all and this isnt really my thing

if you do your own BHLM and keep them you should be able to sell your smoked ones for a pretty penny

If you are looking for some clean headlights to do the BLHM on, I've got a set. Also might be interested in your smoked headlights. Let me know.
