BHLM--need help with the headlights

I can't seem to figure out which fasteners and screws to get offf... so far I have taken the top 6 screws off and the two fasterners connecting the grille to the headlight? But where do I go from here? Do I have to take the whole front bumper panel off to get to the other ones??? please help

 

Na you dont need too. There is one hidden screw that you have to lay down on your back and reach up and feel for it close the fender. Take that one off and then twist and pull. So in total there are two. One each side.

 

Yea youll be able to feel the last bolt. It's a bolt and not a screw. You have to reach up and blindly take it off. When you reach up there you'll feel 2 bolts, it's the top one you have to remove.

 

but isnt there more fastnenres connecting the grille to the panel?

 

Did you take the grill off? You must remove the grill to get to the 3rd screw. You pell gently and it'll show

 

I took the top screws/fasteners of the grille off. Where else is it connected?

 

Yup don't start pullin you will break a rivot for sure.

 

Look down there are two more each side there hard lil things to un clip

 

are they actual fastenres or some sort of clip?

 

They are the clips just like you had to take the two off the top of the grill. I know there is a full post of the bhlm with pics on this site. Look around for that.

 

I found it easier to unclip from underneath it. The grill is attached to the headlight. So between the grill and the radiator look down close to the headlight and you will see it.

 

got it, I dint realize that you had to actually pull the grille out...on to the headlights now!

 

any idea what size that bolt is that is hard to reach for the headlight?

 

10mm or 11. Can't really remember. Everything else seems to be 10mm so start there
