The factory high beams are actually quite good for what they are, for those who want to do a retrofit. Again, I have a RX350 retrofit with CBH bulbs which are very bright, but adding the factory high beams made it that much better combined with the RX highs.

Haha I'm only doing it because of OCD. I don't like the idea of an unused bulb in there just for the sake of sealing a hole.

That's kinda my thinking, and I don't want to black out the high beam bucket anyways. (too much black on a black truck)

Have you been going through headlight fuses with the extra amperage?

This, always use a relay harness when doing HIDs.

That's the beauty of the Bi-LED, less current than a stock halogen bulb just like your house bulbs.

I would always suggest tu use a splitter and keep the reflector in chrome condition to have dual high beams. Just because it is hard to go back when it is painted. And it never hurts to have more light.

I painted my high beam reflector after doing my RX-350 retrofit and never needed the extra high beam. I am though redoing the retrofit and throwing in a Profile High lens, just to add balance.

Random dude agreeing with you here. I had an RX350 retrofit done and kept the stock high beam H9 reflectors - quad high beams are legit. Basically eliminates the need for auxiliary lightbars/pods for forward vision at night.
