Going to attempt to do the BHLM tomorrow. Hope everything goes smooth. I've done my homework, so I will put it to the test.

I say keep/reuse as much of the OE sealant as possible.

Re-used OE sealant then a decent bead of Silicone all around, 0 issues with leaks, condensation, etc...

This mod was the one that made me the most nervous but it was one of the simplest ones. The only scary part is when you are peeling the headlights apart it will make noises like the lens is cracking .. it is just the sealant letting go. After that as long as you take your time and since you did your homework, you will be fine! Are you using Plasti-dip or regular paint for the mod? Good luck!

Yes. Use the old sealant. I didn't and ended up buying some eBay lights

I was thinking of using a flat black plastic paint.

i did the exact same and i have zero issues. but i used quite a bit of silicone window sealant. the entire tube on both actually haha i just wanted to be sure.
my one problem (which was totally my fault) is that on one of the headlights i forgot to turn the oven off and it started smoking. unfortunately it bubbbled the lens a tiny bit.

Well, more than one way to skin a cat. I've pulled mine apart 2x now, using 3m window weld each time, and I have never had any leaks or condensation either.

Either way, I'm sure you'll be fine w/ the mod. Its an easy job

there's no smell - at least I didn't have any. The oven should be off and it's not that hot.

So from start (pulled lights off and into oven) to finish (lights back on truck) how long did it take?
