Bottom line is cyclists and motorized vehicles need to get along on the road and offroad. Both parties need to leave their attitudes at the house and keep their heads out their asses where everyone can coexist and coexist doesn't mean 10 mph bicycles holding up traffic on hi volume hi speed roads. Move the fuck over and let the traffic go by. People in cars/trucks just go around and don't fuck with cyclists when they are yielding to traffic and not acting like asshats. Is it really that difficult? Yes, sometimes it is, I know but people that stupid aren't gonna be taught anything of use regardless of whether they are on bikes or in a motor vehicle.

I also believe that if there is a bike lane or sidewalk available and someone chooses to hold up traffic by not using those options on major busy roads other than in neighborhoods then they should be ticketed for obstruction.

    I frequently ride armed,
I have been hit by an oncoming car going 50mph,
pulled off my bike from behind by the passenger in a red TransAm (still looking for you.. buddy),
side wiped more than i can count (once caught up to an Acura and kicked the Sh*t out of the side of it with my riding cleats,
Had a pickup (non Taco) try to intimidate me, caught him at the light, I asked the passenger if they knew their license plate number "No", my response -well i do now so watch it!

I am usually a law abiding cyclist and normal response to intimidation is to ignore or give a friendly wave.

No, I realize it used to be but not so much anymore. Too much fucking pandering to special interest groups and political correct crybabies and non-recognition of the constitution.

First off I would like to say I am an avid rider. However the other day I was driving down a two lane road where the right hand lane was twice as wide as the left lane so people can park. This rider was right in the middle of the lane not wanting anyone to pass him. As I went around him I asked him why he would not move over to let traffic by to which his responce was " I am intitled to this lane and should be treated as any other vehicle on the road" So I drove around him in the left lane getting back into the right lane safely and came to a red light where I needed to turn. Third from the light and waiting for it to turn green here comes this bike rider trying to fit through everyone on the right hand side. So I pulled to the curb where he proceeded to curse at me to which I replied " You are a vehicle on the road and should be treated as such, wait like everyone else" The point is that we should not be angry with bike riders we should be angry with idiots. There are idiots who ride bikes and just as many idiots who drive. I try and use common sense when riding like not riding on a two lane road where the speed limit is 80 km but I also try to use commone sense when driving and try and be careful around cyclists. We have to learn to share the road.

Legality doesn't have anything to do with it. It's common sense and courtesy...

Bicycles are a legal road worthy mod of transportation, just give them lots of room, and get over being pissed off, and EVERYONE stays SAFE!

Ya think? Society has an even greater shortage of common courtesy. This bike/car thing is a shining example.

Here's the 2 biggest reasons for most of our problems today, if not all of them.

People want and expect a shit ton from others that they are not willing to give in return.
