You're not incorrect. I have since changed dies to a set that does not displace quite so much material on a full crimp - no "wings". I suspect that the previous set was made for thinner wall lugs.

With regards to them being sharp, these in particular were not, though that can happen when the extrusions are very thin.

Really? I had plans this afternoon and grabbed the box I was expecting. I don't want to have hike to the mail box again.

    Here we go :fingerscrossed:

Sorry for the delay - holidays, family drama, the car died, my hamster is sick, the bank was closed, I can't crimp terminals under a full moon, a fugitive acrobat broke into my attic, etc etc and so forth.

All kits are complete and shipping today and tomorrow.

Future kits will be stocked rather than preorder, because I really don't like delays in shipment, and I thank all buyers so far for their patience.

I see you've invested in a Toyota truck; I did the same for when my jeep's broken and I need to do a junkyard or parts store run. Having a Toyota truck means I have two reliable vehicles - one I can rely on to get me around and one I can rely on to frustrate me and be broken.

Maybe you need a second Toyota truck, just in case. #BePrepared and all. Tell your wife it's my idea.

Arrived yesterday, installing today (as if anyone here gives a fuck).

Guess I'll have to report on things after the beer run, um, test drive.

ETA: Called my mom, she was excited to hear I'm working on the truck. I knew someone cared.

Buyer Beware: there's no instructions and inconsistent support amongst the threads. I'm sitting here with parts removed and a second beer in hand unsure if I should open the beer or begin reassembly. Do I post a pic? Do I just wire away?

I was elected to lead, not to read.

Discretion being the better part of valor, I'll be cracking the Shock Top and crossing my fingers. Maybe this project will wire itself.

Screen Shot 2021-12-15 at 10.24.43.jpg Problems solved.

    Install notes:

You need a 10mm, 12 mm, a knife, some flush cuts or dykes, some zip ties.

The ordnance terminals are SAE, I'll update the sizes when I get outside again.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Opening the fuse box, you'll want a small Ti pry bar such as https://countycomm.com/products/nortons-u-c-s-universal-cleaning-stick

    Opening the fuse box guide:
1GR-FE Wiring Overhaul - Big 3, headlights, hood lights, aux panel, and more.
The panel itself kinda stays stationary or comes upward, the box portions with legs slide downward when unclipped. It takes a shear up/down force (you'll kinda see this) and you'll get it to separate. Knuckle Buster warning.

2C, the battery to PDC, is the 10mm bolt you need to gut the box to get to and gets the 4ga red wire.

2E, the alternator to PDC, is the 12mm stud you can see with the fuse box cover removed. Gets the 1/0 red wire with bent lug.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wound up pulling the plastic cable guide box, and the bracketry. I doubt it will be reinstalled in favor of the stock and some extra split loom and zip ties. It cleaned up the driver side as well.

So after PMing @deanosaurus, he is apparently not making these anymore. If anyone wants to get rid of a set they have hit me up as I would like to get a set.

Yeah but I was hoping to have to soon to do it while I'm doing some other projects including replacing the starter. @bassbrick is hooking me up with his. I just didn't want to have the add other project to my list of complete suspension, major of steering, minor engine, minor interior, etc that I have parts already here or currently on the way.
