Big 3 with 2 AWG Wire

I am looking to do the Big 3 before I add a winch in the near future. Most guides I read state that wiring sizes should be between 1/0 and 4 AWG. I figure since the winch calls for 2 AWG, then that should be fine for the Big 3.
Is my reasoning bad?

3 inch lift by dealer at purchase

It really depends on the total possible amperage draw and length of wire. It is best to use a chart and don't push the limit.
