The 2wd run is mostly canceled because there is no trail leader. Johnnie can't make it after all.

I wouldn't chance it, the trail leaders for the difficult and/or hard runs likely won't allow any 2wd trucks.

I guess The way he phrased "lockers" confused me. I wouldn't advise trying it in 2wd

Well if there's an open passenger seat I can trail lead from it since I know most of the stuff up here. Only a question of when the 2wd run was gonna happen

I completely understand that they don't want some random stock 2wd truck with street tires on it holding everyone else up, but my truck is not exactly stock..

Sorry guys, regretfully I'm going to have to back out of this. A good friend passed away and the funeral is the same weekend. TTORA has a camp sight near the Holcomb valley camp ground. You will need a day pass to camp but it's a cool camp site.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks guys, I will see if I can get some GPS coordinates. Actually I'll post up some directions when I have a minute to look at a map. I'm really bummed I'm going to miss this run.

Per the TTORA site: "TTORA SoCal Campground: From the 18, turn north onto Poligue Cyn. Rd. (2N09). Poligue is due west of the Discovery Center. Take Poligue up to 3N16 and make a right. From 3N16, make a left onto 3N07. If you've reached the Holcomb Valley Campground, you've gone too far on 3N16. Keep right at the intersection of 3N07 and 3N43 to stay on 3N07. Continue to the campsite. 3N07 is a dead end road and the site is couple hundred yards before the end."

If you're headed up the back way from hwy 38 just head up to the discovery center and follow the directions from above. Also. there's a fun and easy trail(s) to off road up to big bear via hwy 38 if you're itch to hit dirt can't wait till the Holcomb.

Oooh. I am interested. From what I gathered so far adventure pass is needed? (I have one). Open area to pitch a tent anywhere? Dogs allowed?

Any chance to sum everything up in the first post? Pretty please?

Yes, adventure pass is needed. The camping is primitive camping, so camping anywhere in the area. No bathrooms. no open fires. Not sure about dogs, but im bringing my small terrier/mix.

camping/meeting spot coordinates are: 34.304942, -116.887100, from an earlier post.

The main group putting this event together is off the TTORA.com forum.

I think I know exactly where this is

Poligue canyon is about 2-3 miles from my house actually. Nearly had my side mirror ripped of there one time
