If anyones still up for this run I'm still gonna do it, thinking about hitting up some spots out near Lucerne Valley after finishing the Pioneertown/Big Bear trail. Anyone interested let me know, so far its just gonna be me and a buddy of mine.

took a few pics from my phone, nothing spectacular, no action shots really just some pictures I took cruising along the trail.

kinda hard to see but in the upper right corner there's an old Mine Shaft that looks like it collapsed

here's a better shot of the Mine

this is near the top of the trail, there's a pretty big open meadow

Heres another Mine near the top of the trail I believe this is the Rose Mine

and thats about it, I really didn't get to take many pictures, was too busy driving..

I got busy last week and wasn't watching the site so I missed this. That looked like a cool run. If another one gets planned, I would love to join in. Never having been there, how difficult is it to find your the way from Pioneer town to Big Bear?

The trail has a little bit of everything to offer, overall if you stay on the main trail I think even a pre runner could handle it without any problems. I did go solo on this run, let me know if you guys wanna get a group together and hit this trail again.

here's the last shots I had from Sunday

Its pretty easy to get there just depends on where your coming from , easiest way is to take the 10 FWY east, to HWY 62 its the 29 Palms HWY, once you reach Yucca Valley make a left on Pioneertown Rd., follow the road for a few miles until you reach Burns Canyon Rd and make a left, the trail starts where the pavement ends, from there just stay on 3n03 and you will end up in Big Bear

heres a link from Dirtopia it gives you directions if you wanna go from Big Bear to Pioneertown or from Pioneertown to Big Bear

Thanks for the details. It was your pic's that made me want to go so bad. I know where Pioneer Town is as I go through 29 Palm to get to Lake Mojave, and I pass the 62 everyday as I work on Thousand Palms and Live in the IE. I was not sure if it was easy to find your way from Pioneer Town to BB, but you cleared that up. It looks/sounds like a pretty mello trail. I have to stick to those because a bunch of years ago I rolled my dune buggy 5 times down a hill, and now the wifey is a bit leary when things get rough. In 20 years of marriage, I have learned to keep her happy, and I get to keep my toys... Thanks again for the info, and I will keep an eye on the thread as I would love to make a run with others sometime (The Coral Canyon run looks fun too)...

    ---==BUMP==---

Anyone down to hit up this trail on sun? This trail is so much fun in the snow, heard Big Bear just got dumped with a bunch of snow. Either start off in Big Bear or Pioneertown, but either way i'd like to try and avoid the main hwy's since theres gonna be a bunch of people going for the snow
