No progress so far. I got it tore down as far as I can and waiting on the machine shop here in Alaska to open their new location so I can get the heads and lower intake done and up in the air if I want the throttle body done or not.

also waiting on the crankshaft, rods and pistons to put the lower half the engine in also. Snail mail problems and what have you lol

but my AFE Momentum Cold Air Intake Power Package came in the mail today. So that’s cool lol

New update. The Spec-U equal length ceramic coated inside and out Long Tube Headers have arrived from URD. Just need the Pistons from Arias to hurry up and be forged and sent, then we are ready to rock and roll putting this pig back together. Transform this “Turd” back into its original form the “TRD” off road lol. The headers look smexy btw

Okay. Sorry for the long wait. Ran into life stuff. But build is back and up. I put the forged rods and pistons in, heads, gaskets and should have everything else put together before the end of the week. Did a few things extra, I dropped the front diff and pulled the 4x4 actuator and soldered it to make sure it does not fall apart, changed all the seals in the front end and changed the fluids. A few pics of the progress since I picked it back up last week. It is pretty easy to rebuild the engine inside the truck.

How is the performance and sound? Any pics of the exhaust installed? I’m looking at doing the URD U-spec y and catback.

i like the look of it, I also like the sound of it also, it is not extremely annoying at idle or drive, but when you goose it a little then you hear it. The description of the sound they gave is pretty spot on. I’ll have to have the Ol’ lady take a few pics, I am away on work right now. Install was fairly easy, minus little misalignments here and there that needed correcting
