I know its nuts to quit a job in this economy, but I have. I have been with Wachovia Bank for 5 years but its not working anymore. I have decided to go back to school and finnaly complete my degree. I'm 31 got a mortgage jeez talk about one scary propostion. My Wife has a good job but this is gonna be tough times for both of us. So the truck will also be put on hold too. Thank god the vehicles are paid off. Had to tell someone and you guys always seem cool about life changing events.

Keep your head down and don't stop 'til it is done. Tough call, but finishing up your schooling should open a lot of doors for you in the future. Hope everything turns out well.

    sweet!

i graduated at 30. best move ever to suck it up and go back to school. i had to move back with family to make the numbers work.

what degree? my wife and i are in a very similar situation. she was in commercial banking and got laid off. her "human studies" degree is just about worthless, so we elected for her to go back to school. she had to finish up some random science classes, and now is about to make a run for nursing school. are we scared? YES! is our mortgage looming? YES! but eff it. we are all in. i parked my sports car, and all our cars are paid off..i scaled back hunting and fishing..we dont eat out.

it is going to be awesome, if she pulls this off and lands a new steady career.

best of luck to you. i think you are making the right decision.

WELL if i continued working for satan I was projected to graduate in dec 11 or spring 12 but now it looks like summer 2011. The major is Aquisition Managment. Down here in huntsville its kind of the thing to get with the Army moving its contract command down. Its primarily a contract managment degree.

Good luck. Everything will turn out just fine. Just don't look back...no regrets. Me and wifey did that a couple years ago and we are so glad that we did. Sacrifice a bit now to set yourself up for a better life.
