Anyone have experience with adjusting coilovers? I have about a 1/2inch or so rake and I'd like to level the truck out looks like the front is sitting at 23.5 inches from the center of my rim to the wheel well and the rear is at an even 24inches. After doing research on the forum its a rough estimate that 1/4 turn on the coilovers will give me about a 1/2inch lift. I was doing some window shopping at sears to buy a 3ton jack stands and tools. Any tips from you guys would help greatly.

I don't have much experience but that sounds about right. also, the costco jack for like 96 bucks is great. I have that and love it. You can use wood blocks to get some height or buy some height adapters for it.

damn, 23.5" seems pretty high. what kind of coilovers do you have, and how much thread is showing above the collar? as for turns, I believe Icon's are 1/8" per full turn... not sure if/how this varies by brand though.

maybe you should just leave it? what's your rear setup, and is it new? if it's new, it'll probably settle over time, and you might end up with less than 24" in the rear.

edit - just noticed you're a 3rd gen, so maybe 23.5" is normal?

Can anyone give me the model number of the Bilsteins 5100's I need for my 2015 Tacoma with 2-3" AAL in the rear? Mahalo. Front rides fine, rear is way too stiff!

what shock do you have now? I'm thinking that the AAL is the issue.

Part number: C476. I running this with the toytec AAL. Going ride stiffer no matter what you put back there. If i could do it over I would go with the icon 3 leaf pack and remove the overload.

yeah, I almost went with that same AAL, then decided to bite the bullet and get the Icon 3 leaf. I ended up trading that away to get Dakars though :anonymous:

@55769 NAMAHOLA - if you're set on the AAL though, I think the Bilstein's you might be looking for are the 5125's (BIL 33-230337): I think the RCD 5100's would be too long if it's really only a 2" AAL, especially since it'll settle/sag over time.

Yeah, I figure better to not mess w/ it and have to redo the alignment. So right now just running the toytec boss suspension w/ the add a leaf. For 3rd gens it say it gives you 2inch max since it's about .75 inches higher than previous gens. Still debating on a 6inch later on. On a side note, I took the Taco to Pinetrees this past weekend. I'm rarely ever in Kona but man Taco's on the wide out there. Chee. Is there a regular Taco meet on the Big Island?

i'm thinking a Skyline, Makalawena (if we bring families) road to the sea/manuka, of course, with families, camp and cookouts are cool if we can all come to an agreement. I would say mana road trip but the road is soo nice now that it kinda meh for off roading. unless we rent the cabins and do a camp thing, it would be lame IMO
