Lex Brodies will recommend Toy Tec, this is what they sell. I believe any other lift kits you will need to buy and supply all the parts. Lex Brodies can install the lift kits . Plus they specialize SPC Upper control arms. Do the wheel alignment.
Best to talk to Lex Brodies. Lex Brodies sells tires and RIMS.
Lex Brodies SPC the pricing is reasonable , no shipping cost. Most times in stock.

Island Performance can order all the parts and install any lift kits .

I suggest stay away from BDS and Rough Country lifts need cutting and welding.
Rough Country now offers a Vertex Coilovers 3.5 lift $3000 and 2.5 Vertex (front coilovers)+ need rear shocks and lift.
Ironman off-road offers a complete lift kits under $2600. two types W/ Foam or gas shocks. 2 inches.
Bilstein 6112 Front and 5160 rears w/ Icon AAL is popular. Adjustable I believe max is 2.5 inches.

if ordering parts (heavy) call Kona Trans , they will accept deliveries . And I pick up all my parts at there base yard. They do deliver but will cost you.
    Good luck!

Thanks LAVA-ROAD, I never thought of Lex Brodies, thought they just did tires. I get my truck washed there sometimes. Good advice. I appreciate you.

You will be surprised how many lift kits Lex Brodies has already stall. A lot! Over the years. They are not cheap. But you can get everything done in one place , install lift kit, tires and rims and wheel alignment.
Good luck , Please share pictures before and after.

Just a note here, most mechanic shops can do the lift installs in one day. Provided no issues with the parts or installs.
Make sure tires and rims are ready to be added,
Have wheel alignment date and time set to go.
Be prepared for issues for tires rubbing? (CMC ). May want to do this first - Cab mount chop.

My son 2016 TRD 2 inch lift , with 32’s KO2 tires never had the same problems I had. No rubbing at all. And no aftermarket UCA.
My 2019 TRD 2.5 inch lift with 32’s KO 2. I had to do a CMC-2Times, cut parts of the plastic fenders, I also had a SPC nstalled. We both had the same tires and back spacing.

I am guessing the type of lift kits , tires size , rim backing spacing will differ in each Tacoma. The reason why some people had no issues and some do?

3rd gen’s front should not be lifted over 2” via shocks.

Curious why not over 2 inches via shocks? Please provide more information.
or 3 inches? Why ? And what do you suggest?

Nothing changed between 2nd and 3rd gen suspension except the 3rd gen come 1” higher from the factory. Which means 3” on 2nd gen equals 2” on the 3rd. The max recommended lift is 21” from the top hat to center of the lower mount bolt at ride height.

Thank you. Curious this recommendation of max at 21 inches is something I something never heard of before. Could you show us where this recommendation came from?
Many of the aftermarket shock companies never mention 21 inches? They always say 2-3 inches.

Rough Country Vertex offers a 3.5 coil-overs, is this bad?

Toytec , Thank you for the great info’s . Finding the right lift heights ,shocks and coil springs for our Tacoma requires us to seek experts.

When I look at what all the aftermarket lifts and shock companies offers , it seems impossible to find the correct parts?

I order my coil-overs from a reputable company to max the height of my lift. Now I am wondering why offer adjustable heights on the shocks if we max out the down travel?

The tech side is interesting, beyond me. Please keep sharing your valuable information.

it seems it is hard to find a true 2 inch lift, 2.5 inch lift and a true 3inch lift ( this is what I wanted. ) but my Bilstein 6112 can only do a 2.5 ?

Can Tacoma get a true 3.5 shocks with coilovers?

This is why I love the Big Island. One hour drive from Kona, then one hour drive down a 6 mile Jeep road. No one here, even tho it’s a Sunday. Only on the Big Island. Can you guess where this is?

Manuka beach. The first time I went there was in 1986?. The road goes all the way to “Road to the sea”.
    A popular fishing area.
Gosh I think the last time I fish there was over 10 years ago.
Sometimes we would see goat hunters on the way down.

Yep, that's it! I did see some goats down there. I was wondering what was hunted as there's a sign for hunters to sign in. Beautiful spot!

I never did see signs either , but is allow. They is also have a gun range too, never been there(side road) on the way down.
I do miss fishing and camping at Manuka I hear the younger guys are aggressive. Like they own certain spots. SAD. Just because they put pole holders. We were fishing those spots before they were born. Lol

You are right , it is posted at the entrance. We just drive in to go fishing. On the weekends it use to be crowded. Most of the popular fishing spots gets taken.
Especially the toilet bowl. I pre just right of that spot.

Rare to see big Ulua’s . The Menpachi fishing is excellent when we use to go. I kinda miss going there. Getting too old.
