went ahead and bought me a set of these for the xb. 17x9 +38. perfect for daily driving. the only thing about trying to build up three vehicles at the same time. cant move as fast as i would like.

and lastly, brz/frs. i have this in mind but its gotta be the sti/trd iteration which isnt released yet.

 

I'd go with the frs/brz personally....I'm looking to buy one

Its a drivers car, through and through...find a way to add a little power and it'll be perfect
The sti/TRD version isn't gonna be that different from the base model though.

 

i see what youre saying about the brz/frs. its a a great platform and the handling is phenomenal. the census is the car is a slug though. the sti/trd variant is set to change that. both boosted, one turbo and one super. are you talking about the TS trim? the one where it has sti goodies AND EVEN THE STI BADGE but not added power?

maybe ill just wait till you get yours so i can catch a personal review LOL

 

Where did you read the TRD is going to be S/c'd? Last article I read the project manager said a slightly larger V6

 

Last thing I read about the next subie packages is that it wasn't getting blown or boosted...where did you see info about the TRD?

 

i think right now its more here say circulating around the net but if you look at the track record of both brands. thats what they do. tc, xb, solara, 4runner, tundra, tacoma all have trd sc applications and well yoj already know the sti reputation. itll be alittle naive to think its not gonna happen.

haha nice. well you could always get it first AND THEN get the sc. whoo. i like how sti stuff is compatiable. bbs wheels (04), brembos, etc. the one sole thing i dont like about the car and this might be grasping ar straws. i hate that the car is 5x100.

if youre in a position for it, just finance it. i got my truck financed right now at .7% with navy fed.

 

just an update. went around town looking for the cars i have listed in mind. didnt really see anything. i did find two s2ks but they were thrashed and wasnt worth the price of admission. i also ran look into the frs and the brz. just wasnt feeling it when you know the sti and trd variants are on the horizon. didnt track down any is300 (gonna be hard), 350/370z (although i did run into a super low mileage 6spd g35), sti (the years im looking for), or xrunners.

what i was actually pondering was single cab tacoma and throwing in a urd supercharger, or single cab superduty and fooling around with that. well see. i wish single cab came with a v6.

 

I'd say go with a 2wd single cab Tacoma and drop it
