What tire would you guys recommend for a 265/75. Looking at a aggresive AT like a BFG Rugged Terrain Or Goodyear Duratrac? I dont want em to get chunked on the lava rock.

smooth rock I didnt have grip with the a/t's, but for pretty much anything theyre good tires. I like the new rugged trail design look but im not jumping into a new set of tires anytime soon.

Lava kills all tires. A'a is just too sharp

My km2s held up pretty well though, kala has them now

I wheeled them Hard with no complaints

I like km2s, but they dont seem to last as long as the older KM1s. The load range Es, on full sizes, barely last 20-25k. The fricken Michelin ATXs(?) lasted 50k and up!
I cant compare them to the tires that everyone seems to like(discovery cooper stt, gy duratracs), but if I needed an all around tire, id buy the km2s. Ive only driven em on full size trucks and dont seem to have a problem, but when I think of it I could probably do the same thing with the bfg a/t.

One tire that I really do like is the Mickey thompson mtz. That was an awesome tire. Nitto Mud grapplers and the mtz is tires I would pick up if I had money coming out my ass.

when konaborne talks about a'a tearing up tires, it reminds me of back in high school when I ran the SSRs and those literally fell apart on me. imo, the swamper SXs were no ka oi when it came to playing on the rocks. Those tires had a hard compound, but they sucked in the rain and wobbled all over. lol
I wanna try get me a set of the good year military run flats. One problem with having 16.5" rims is its hard to find tires, so I always wanted to see how those performed.

or maybe hotels, waikoloa area. Kawaiahae has a few restaurants too. If youre a cold country kinda guy(sorry, below 60 and to me thats freeze balls), waimea/kamuela has some bars and definitely a few good restaurants.
